Learn about the New Document dialog box in Adobe Illustrator that lets you create documents using presets and templates.
In Illustrator, you can select File > New to access the New Document dialog box.
The New Document dialog lets you:
- Create documents using presets and adjust preset settings before opening them.
- Access and create documents with Adobe Stock templates.
- Access and open files, templates, and documents you've recently viewed in the Recents tab.
- Access templates downloaded from Adobe Stock in the Saved tab.
Use presets and templates
You can use and customize presets and templates for various design categories and devices, such as mobile, web, print, docial media, and branding.
Blank Document Presets are templates with predefined dimensions and settings for design categories and devices, which you can customize before creating a new document.
Templates offer rich, inspiring, and reusable content for your documents. You can download templates from Adobe Stock in Illustrator and use them to quickly create documents with shared settings and design elements.
