Learn how to isolate specific objects, paths, or groups in Adobe Illustrator to edit them precisely without affecting other parts of your artwork.
Isolate paths, objects, or groups
To isolate a path inside a group, select the Direct Selection tool, then select Isolate Selected Object in the Control panel.
To exit isolation mode, press Esc or select Exit Isolation Mode in the Control panel.
When you exit isolation mode, the new or replaced art appears at the exact location of the original isolated art.
Isolate layers or sublayers
Select the layer or sublayer in the Layers panel, then Enter Isolation Mode from the Layers panel menu.
To exit isolation mode, press Esc or select Exit Isolation Mode from the Layers panel menu.
If you have isolated a sublayer, select Exit Isolation Mode multiple times to fully exit the isolation mode.
หมายเหตุ:
Illustrator aligns any edits, deletions, or new objects with the original artwork when you exit isolation mode.
