Learn how to open PDFs and supported file types in Acrobat on mobile.
Access and work with files from multiple sources, including your device, cloud storage services, email attachments, browsers, and Adobe Scan. PDFs open directly in the Acrobat viewer, while images can be shared, saved, or converted to PDFs with an Acrobat subscription.

Go to Acrobat on Android and select Files.
Choose the file location.
Sign in or allow access if prompted.
For third-party cloud storage, you may be prompted to add the account if it isn’t already connected.
Select the file to open it.
Go to Acrobat on iOS and select Files.
Choose a file location.

Select the file to open it.
Open the email or web page that contains the PDF.
Select the PDF attachment or file.
Select Open with, Share, or More options.
The option shown depends on the app or browser.
Choose Adobe Acrobat to open the file.
The iOS Files app provides access to local and cloud files stored in Acrobat.
Open the Files app.
It displays all your files, including those in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Scan.
Browse or search for a file and open it.
Select Share > Open in Acrobat.
If Acrobat doesn’t appear as a location in the Files app, you can add it from More options > Edit, then enable Adobe Acrobat and select Done.
Apple Books does not offer an Open in or Share option. To open a PDF from Apple Books in Acrobat mobile, email the PDF to yourself and then open it from your email or browser. Follow the steps in Open PDFs from email or a browser.
