On the Firefly homepage, go to the Image module in the left pane and select Remove object or generate an image, and go to the Edit tab and select Remove.
If needed, upload an image.

Learn how to select specific areas of images and non-destructively remove unwanted elements within the Edit tab.
Use generative AI capabilities to quickly remove objects, people, or areas from your images while preserving the surrounding content naturally. With Remove, you can use brush-based selection controls to precisely define which areas to remove. After brushing over unwanted elements, Firefly generates replacement content that blends seamlessly with the rest of your image.
Use the brush tool to paint over the object or area you want to remove.
Select the icon to open the brush settings. Use the Brush size slider to make the brush larger or smaller, depending on the area you want to edit. You can also adjust the Brush hardness slider to control how soft or sharp the brush edges appear, allowing for smoother blends or more defined selections.
Tip
To remove the background from an image, select Remove background from the left toolbar.
Select the Select less option, then brush over the painted strokes to remove parts of the selection.
To start fresh, select the reset option to erase all selections.
Select Remove to generate the edited image.
