Generate images using Runway

Learn how to generate images from text prompts using the Runway models in Adobe Firefly. 

Use the Runway Gen-4 model with Generate image feature to generate stylized and cinematic-looking images. You can experiment with different prompt variations and General settings to refine generated images within your workflow.

When you select a partner model to generate images, you'll be prompted to confirm that you're using a model not developed by Adobe, along with other relevant information. Please review the details and select OK to continue.

The Start using the partner models is open and you have the option to continue or cancel.
Review the Start using the partner models prompt and decide whether you want to begin generating images with partner models.

Generate images using Runway Gen-4 Image

On the Firefly homepage, select Generate in the left panel and then Generate image.

On the Generate image page, enter a text prompt in the Prompt field.

In the General settings section, select the Model dropdown menu.

Under the Partner models section, select the Runway Gen-4 Image model.

Use the Aspect ratio dropdown menu to choose the dimensions for the generated image.

  • Widescreen (16:9)
  • Vertical (9:16)
  • Square (1:1)
  • Portrait (3:4)
  • Landscape (4:3)

Select Generate .
