Invalid license key after installing Flash Media Server

After installing Adobe Flash Media Server (FMS) with a serial license, the following invalid license key message appears:

(w)2581154 Invalid license key : xxxx

Solution

Verify that the sif.bin is in the FMS licenses folder. If the sif.bin is missing, add it to the licenses folder or perform a normal install of FMS.

Additional information

During a regular install of Flash Media Server, the sif.bin file is automatically placed in the licenses folder. If you use a revision control system during the installation process, or perform a custom install, the sif.bin file could be excluded. If this file is missing, you receive the error message.
