Control perceptual interpolation in gradients

Päivitetty viimeksi 27. lokakuuta 2025

Learn how to apply perceptual interpolation to create smoother, more natural color transitions in gradients.

Perceptual interpolation adjusts color transitions in gradients to match how the human eye perceives differences between colors. This creates smoother blends and makes adjacent colors appear more distinct.

Vihje:

Apply perceptual interpolation in charts, dashboards, infographics, or UI elements where evenly spaced, distinct colors improve readability.

Select an object with a gradient fill, or apply a new gradient.

Open the Gradient panel.

In Method, choose Perceptual.

Switch between Perceptual and Classic methods to control how colors transition in gradients.

Adjust the gradient stops, colors, opacity, or location as desired to refine the gradient appearance.

Huomautus:
  • Perceptual gradients are not supported in PDF or SVG exports. When saved in these formats, gradients will be rasterised.
  • Perceptual rendering isn’t preserved when gradients are saved to CC Libraries.
  • Expanding perceptual gradients into mesh objects isn’t supported.
