Edit generated artwork using prompts

Learn how to use Prompt to Edit to add, remove, recolor, or replace elements in generated artwork.

Use Prompt to Edit to refine artwork created with Text to Vector Graphic or Turntable. Enter prompts to add, remove, recolor, replace, or refine elements while exploring new variations of your artwork.

Prompt to Edit is currently available only for artwork generated using Text to Vector Graphic or Turntable.

Select artwork generated using Text to Vector Graphic or Turntable.

In the Contextual Task Bar that appears, select Prompt to Edit.

You can also access Prompt to Edit from Edit > Edit Generated Objects, the Quick Actions section of the Properties panel, the Prompt to Edit   icon in the Control panel, and the right-click menu.

In the prompt field, describe the changes you want to make.

You can also select a prompt suggestion to explore common edits or refine your prompt.

Use short, specific prompts to generate more accurate text variations and layout-friendly results with generative AI.

Select a Partner model from the model dropdown.

Use the options in Style Reference as needed:

  • Style ReferenceUse document assets or uploaded images as style references to generate outputs that match your intended style. Leave Auto turned on to match the style of the surrounding artwork. Select Choose asset to upload an image from your device or browser, or select   to pick a style from an object in your artwork.
  • Effects: Select one or more preset effects. Select Clear all to remove the effects.

Select Clear all next to Styles to remove the applied style reference and effects.

Select Generate.

Review the generated variations in the Properties panel and select the one you want to use.

To access additional options and provide feedback on the variations, select More options  :

  • Good output  : Upvote the variation if you liked it, and share detailed feedback in the form that appears.
  • Poor output  : Downvote the variation if you didn't like it, and share detailed feedback in the form that appears.
  • Delete variation   : Delete the variation if not required.
  • Report variation    : Flag the view if it's inappropriate, and select the reason in the form that appears.
Vihje:

Editing a Turntable object using Prompt to Edit removes its Turntable behavior. To preserve the original Turntable object, create a copy before editing or unhide the original object from the Layers panel.
