Learn how to set background colors for artboards to visually differentiate them on your canvas.
Background colors help organize complex or multi-artboard documents. You can assign a solid color to any artboard, making it easier to preview designs such as dark UIs, social media templates, or branded layouts against specific backgrounds.
In the Properties panel, navigate to Artboards > Fill, and then select Artboard Color Swatch to open the Color Picker.
Choose a color or swatch, then select OK to apply it to your artboard.
