Get French and German accent characters when typing with a physical keyboard in a Photoshop document on your iPad.

French and German accent characters are not available when entering text in a Photoshop document's Type layer on your iPad. The issue occurs when you are typing with a physical keyboard connected to the iPad.

Solution

In your iPad settings, change the layout setting of your connected physical keyboard.

Ensure that your physical keyboard is paired or connected with your iPad. Follow the instructions provided by the keyboard manufacturer, if necessary.
Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard > [Desired language].

Change the language from Automatic to your desired language.
