HTML5 Preview does not launch when Windows user name has spaces

Issue: HTML Preview doesn't launch

If your Windows user name has blank spaces it, there can be issues with certain functionalities of Captivate that use the Windows temp folder. For example, HTML 5 previews, or animations during LMS preview don't launch.

Solution

Complete the following steps to apply this fix.

  1. Click here to download the CivetWeb.exe file. 

  2. Download and save the file in a temporary location.

  3. Back up the original file (located in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 9
    x64\SWF_Components\ws), and save it in another location.

  4. Overwrite the CivetWeb file in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 9x 64\SWF_Components\ws with the new one.

  5. Close and reopen Captivate.
