Firefly workspace overview
Discover how to access key capabilities and organize your content in the Firefly workspace.
The Firefly workspace is designed to help you generate, discover, and organize. The workspace is divided into three sections, each serving a distinct purpose in your creative workflow, allowing you to move seamlessly between generating new content, finding inspiration, and managing your existing work.
The bottom navigation bar is always visible, allowing you to switch between sections at any time. You can move from the Gallery to Home, or check your previous work in Your Stuff without losing your place.
Generate and modify content in Home
The Home tab is your starting point for all generative tasks. It brings creation and editing tools together in one easy-to-access place.
Generate new content
The Generate area provides access to Firefly's core generative capabilities. You can create images, videos, or sound effects using text prompts or media inputs. Firefly supports multiple generative models, including native Adobe and partner models, giving you flexibility in how you approach content creation.
Available generation tools include Text to image for creating visuals from descriptions, Text to video for generating video content, Image to video for animating static images, and Sound effect for audio elements.
Modify existing images
The Modify Images section offers intuitive tools for transforming your existing visuals. Generative expand extends your image beyond its original boundaries, maintaining visual consistency. Generative fill seamlessly adds new elements into your composition, while Generative remove cleanly eliminates unwanted objects.
These tools use generative AI to understand your image and make edits that blend naturally with the original content.
Inspiration feed
The Inspiration area features curated AI-generated visuals that show what you can create with Firefly. These examples can help spark ideas and demonstrate how different prompting techniques are used to yield a variety of results.
View generation history and manage content in Files
The Files tab functions as your personal archive. Firefly automatically saves all your generations, such as images, videos, and sounds, making them easily accessible whenever you need them. To make content organization easier, the Files tab is further divided into these sections:
- Favorites allows you to view all the content marked as your favorite, so that you can have easy access to your most loved creations.
- Generation history maintains a record of your creative exploration, so you can revisit previous work and refine or reuse successful prompts.
- Your Files section contains all your individual Adobe files. These include images, videos, and other assets that you’ve accessed or created
- Projects allow you to organize assets created across different Adobe apps in one space to help you organize your work and streamline sharing.
- Shared with you section displays all files and projects that others have shared with you, allowing you to collaborate easily.
- Deleted section serves as a recycle bin for your Firefly content, providing temporary storage for recently deleted files and projects.
Explore community and creativity in Gallery
The Gallery tab connects you with the broader Firefly community. Here you can browse images created by other users, each accompanied by the prompt that generated it. This transparency helps you understand the relationship between text inputs and visual outputs, accelerating your learning curve.
Viewing community creations provides practical insights into prompt construction, style application, and creative approaches. The Gallery serves as both inspiration and education, showcasing what's possible and how others have achieved their results.
