Apply Lens blur

Select a photo to open it in Detail view.

Select Edit > Blur .

Adjust the Blur amount slider to define the intensity of the effect. 

Define the photo’s focal point by selecting the Focus  icon. Then, select the following:

• Subject: Automatically sets the focal range using AI-powered subject detection.
• Point: Manually set the focal range by selecting or dragging the pointer on the photo.

Use the Depth Overlay option to visualize the depth range. Select from the provided depth overlay options: In focus range, Full depth range, or Out of focus range. 

Select More to open the depth map and focal range. Use the Focus range slider to set the depth range.

When you select Visualize Depth , the overlays on the photo show the following colors:

• Warm or Yellow: Covers the area that has a near focal range.
• Cool or Blue: Covers the area that has a far focal range.
• White: Covers the area that is currently in focus when adjusting the Focus range controls.

Select Apply.

Select a bokeh style from the available options to change the blur appearance.

• Circle: Create a clean, modern circular bokeh effect.
• Bubble: Create a circular bokeh with spherical aberration for a soft, glowing look.
• 5-blade: Create a vintage-style bokeh inspired by five-blade aperture lenses.
• Ring: Create a mirror lens bokeh effect, also known as a doughnut shape.
• Oval: Create an oval-shaped bokeh for a cinematic look.
• Cat eye: Create a bokeh effect shaped by optical vignetting near the frame edges.

Adjust the Blur amount slider as required, and then select the Done icon.

Select a photo to open it in Detail view.

Select Edit > Blur .

In the Lens blur panel, drag the Blur amount slider to any amount to enable the panel options.

Select the Focus icon to adjust the focus area.

In the Focus range panel, select a Focus type to adjust the range of depth values that are in focus:

• Subject: Automatically sets the focal range using AI-powered subject detection.
• Point: Manually set the focus range by selecting and dragging the range circle on the photo.

To refine the area in focus, do the following:

• Hold and drag the range bar slider from Near to Far, or vice versa.
• Hold the range control handles and drag outward or inward to increase or decrease the focus area.

Select the Visualize Depth icon to visualize the depth map with the following overlay colors on the photo:

• Warm, Orange, or Yellow: Covers the area that has a near focal range.
• Cool, Pink, or Magenta: Covers the area that has a far focal range.
• White: Covers the area that is currently in focus when adjusting the Focal range controls.

Select Apply to save your edits.

In the Lens blur panel, select a bokeh style from the available options to change the blur appearance.
