Manage cloud storage and sync
Learn how to use cloud sync settings to back up photos and control storage across your devices.
Cloud storage in Adobe Lightroom provides automatic backup and smooth access to your photos across all devices. With proper sync configuration, your edits and organization stay current whether you're working on mobile, desktop, or web.
Cloud storage and syncing are available in both free and premium tiers. The free tier includes 5 GB of cloud storage shared across all Adobe apps, which you can use for album sharing. Premium subscriptions provide expanded cloud storage and automatic syncing across desktop, mobile, and web. For mobile-only premium plans, verify which sync features are included.
Access cloud storage and sync settings
In Cloud Storage & Sync view your current storage usage and sync settings.
Review your Cloud Storage details to view the available storage space.
Configure sync preferences
In the Cloud Storage & Sync settings, toggle off Use Cellular Data to sync only over Wi-Fi, or switch on to sync using your cellular data plan.
Select Download only reduced-resolution files and toggle on to use smaller files for faster loading, editing, and sharing, while saving device storage space.
Select Download original files when using AI tools and toggle on to use full-quality files for printing or desktop work, though larger file sizes may slow loading and editing.
