Compress a file before sending

Learn how to compress a file before sharing using Acrobat on mobile.

Compressed files use less bandwidth and are faster and easier to work with. With an Acrobat subscription, you can reduce file size to a desired compression level. Files that are already compressed cannot be compressed again.

Open Acrobat mobile

Open the PDF and select More optionsand then select Compress PDF from the menu.

In the dialog box, select a compression level:

High compression: Smallest size, lower quality
Medium compression: Medium size, good quality
Low compression: Larger size, best quality

Select Compress.

From the confirmation message, select Open to view the compressed file.
