"Error point not found" error at the launch of Adobe Premiere Elements
When you try to launch Adobe Premiere Elements, you get an error message PremiereElementsEditor.exe - Entry Point Not Found with the following description:
"The procedure entry point_crtCreateSymbolicLinkW could not be located in the dynamic link library c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCP110.dll”
Solution
This issue occurs when installation of Visual Studio 2012 runtime fails while installing Adobe Premiere Elements. To resolve this issue, do one of the following to install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4.
- Install Windows updates.
- Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 from Microsoft Download Centre and manually install the runtime.
