Gray screen or unresponsive application

Adobe Premiere Elements is unresponsive or displays a gray screen when you start a project

Solution: Disable real-time scanning functionality of any anti-virus software installed on the system.

Additional information

A known conflict has been identified with the McAfee Products, which causes this issue.
