Change the name of a library template

Changing the name of a template is easy and only takes a couple steps. Rename your old templates to keep up with revisions or denote defunct templates you want to hold on to.

Only the user that creates a template can make edit or delete it.

Quick steps

  1. Go to Manage page.
  2. Click Edit next to the library template.
  3. Expand Template Properties, and enter a new name in the Template Name box.
  4. Click Save.

  1. Click Manage, locate the template you want to edit and click the Edit link next to the template name.

  2. Expand the Template Properties section, click in the Template Name field, and enter the desired name.

Once you're done, click Save to commit the changes.

Tips from Technical Support

  • Even if you've allowed all of the users in your account to use the template (via setting permissions), you are the only one who can change it.
  • When editing a document, save frequently! Clicking the save button takes you back to the manage page, but that's better than losing your work.
