iOS Cookie disabled error when signing the documents in Safari Browser | Adobe Sign

Issue

When a signer opens a document to sign in Safari browser on an iOS device, it gives the following error:

Cookie functionality is disabled on your browser.

13571

Environment

Adobe Sign Web UI (Safari browser).

Cause

  1. Cookies are disabled.
  2. "Prevent Cross Site Tracking" is toggled ON. (for iOS version 11 and above).

Resolution

Do the following steps in your iOS device:

  1. Navigate to Settings Safari, and then deselect Block All Cookies.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Safari, and then deselect Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.

Once these options are deselected, the error disappears and the signer is able to sign the document without any trouble.

Additional information

  • It is because as per the system requirements of Adobe Sign, you have to enable cookie functionality. For more information on system requirements, see https://helpx.adobe.com/in/sign/system-requirements.html.
  • "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking" option gets automatically selected for iOS version 11 and above so as a signer you have to disable it manually.
