Adobe Sign for Teams Service Update FAQ

Last updated on Jul 20, 2020
Note

Adobe is no longer offering the Adobe Sign for Teams plan. To continue using the paid benefits of Adobe Sign, please subscribe to the new Adobe Sign for Small Business plan using the same e-mail address as your current teams plan. If you subscribe within 60 days from the end of your current subscription period, you will receive an introductory offer.

If you decide not to subscribe but would like to retain access to your existing files, your Adobe Sign for Teams subscription will be downgraded to a free account.

A free account includes the ability to send two documents every 30 days (on a rolling basis), but will not longer allow for the use of team administrative features.

To use a free account, admins and users must sign in with an existing Adobe ID or create an Adobe ID using the same email address as your current Adobe Sign for Teams account.

  • Offer expires 60 days after your existing Adobe Sign for Teams subscription term ends. Offer available worldwide only to existing Adobe Sign for Teams subscribers who receive this invitation directly from Adobe. Purchase an Adobe Sign for Small Business 12- month subscription at the annual price of US$239.40 per year per license (plus applicable taxes/VAT/GST), prepaid from the Adobe Store. 12-mo commitment required, prepaid in advance.  The promotional pricing is only valid for the first year.  At the end of your Adobe Sign for Small Business offer term, your subscription will be automatically renewed at the then-current subscription rate, unless you elect to change or cancel your subscription.  The standard list price for Adobe Sign for Small Business is US$299.88 per year per license (plus applicable taxes/VAT/GST) prepaid.
  • General Terms: Valid only for eligible persons who are 18+. Residents or persons in embargoed countries or countries subject to U.S. or local export restrictions are not eligible. Offer and prices subject to change without notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Offer may not be assigned, exchanged, sold, transferred, combined, or redeemed for cash or other goods and services not expressly stated here as included. Subject to availability where the recipient resides.
  • Additional terms and conditions may apply. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.

In an effort to modernize our systems and consolidate account information, we are retiring older product offerings that use legacy identity and billing systems.

In order to link your Adobe Sign for Teams account to your new Adobe Sign for Small Business account or free account, you will need to use the exact same e-mail address for each user. This will ensure that all users retain access to their existing documents.

If a user would like to change their e-mail after purchasing or creating your free account, visit accounts.adobe.com to update your profile.

  • If they create an Adobe ID prior to the current plan’s expiration, they will see an error message to contact their Admin. To regain access they will need to be assigned a new license and will not be eligible for a free account.
  • If they didn’t create an Adobe ID prior to their current plan’s expiration, they will be redirected to the Adobe ID login/sign-up screen, but will no longer have access to Adobe Sign, or be eligible for a free account.

You have 60 days from the end date of your current subscription to take advantage of the introductory offer.

This is an exclusive offer for existing customers transitioning from the Adobe Sign for Teams plan.

Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a monthly billing option for Adobe Sign for Small Business. We will be adding that billing option in the near future.

If your Adobe Sign for Teams account has multiple users, you’ll need to add them to the new Adobe Sign for Small Business account that you purchase.

Like yourself, each user needs to be set up with the exact same email address used in your current Adobe Sign for Teams account in order to retain access to existing transactions.

After your Adobe Sign for Small Business purchase, you’ll be able to simplify this process by uploading the account list file in the User tab of the Admin Console.

You will have to manually add your end users in the Admin Console.

  1. Select the User tab in the Admin Console.
  2. Next to the Add User button, click the () icon and then the Add users by CSV option.
  3. Upload the pre-formatted and populated CSV file that was downloaded during the purchasing process.
  4. You will receive an e-mail once the operation is completed. In addition, you can view the details of the bulk operation in the Bulk Operations Results page.
  5. Reference this article for additional instructions. Note: Adobe Sign for Small Business is a “Team” offering, as referenced in this article.
  6. For troubleshooting help, reference this article or contact Adobe Sign Support

No.

When you add users, they receive an email verification they must accept to gain account access. The email also asks them to verify their new Adobe ID if they don’t already have an existing one with the same email address. They will then use this Adobe ID to log in to their Adobe Sign account.

  • Most admins are also users of Adobe Sign. Auto-assigning you as the first user makes this process easier as end-user access is required to configure the Adobe Sign product.
  • If you have no need to log in to Adobe Sign and modify application settings, you can assign your seat to another user (see next question).

In order to administer the Adobe Sign product (application settings), you also need to be an end user. If you’re not planning to personally use Adobe Sign and continue to modify application settings, you can remove yourself to free up the seat and reassign to another user.

  1. Go to the Products tab in the Admin Console.
  2. Select the Adobe Sign for Small Business tile on the left.
  3. Select the checkbox by your email address. A Remove User button will appear.
  4. Click the button to remove yourself from the seat and assign it to another user.
  • With a free account, each team user can send two documents for signature for free every 30 days on a rolling basis.
  • Each user can take advantage of their free account once they sign in or create an Adobe ID using the same e-mail address as their original paid account.
  • Because your team account has been downgraded to a free subscription, the free plan does not include the ability to administer users, or configure and manage team settings in Adobe Sign. To retain these administration features, please purchase an Adobe for Small Business Plan.
  • Yes, as long as each user creates an Adobe ID associated with using the same e-mail address as their previous paid account
  • If a user does not create and Adobe ID, or creates one using a new e-mail address, they will not have access their previous transactions
  • If, as an account admin, you do nothing and don’t sign up for a free account, you won’t be able to access your existing documents within Adobe Sign. These documents won’t be removed immediately, but will not be accessible to you until your old Adobe Sign for Teams account is linked to a new free account, or a paid Adobe Sign for Small Business account using the same email address.
  • If an Adobe Sign for Teams subscription expires, users on the original Teams plan will have the opportunity to use a free account by signing in or signing up with an Adobe ID that uses their same e-mail address.
  • While your subscription is still active (paid or free), you can easily download your signed documents as PDF files by following these instructions.
  • After your subscription has expired and if you didn’t create a free account, you would need to contact Adobe Sign Support.

Once you purchase a new Adobe Sign for Small Business subscription, you will no longer see your billing information in the Adobe Sign application.

To maintain billing info for your new subscription, use the Manage Payment link in the Account tab of the Admin Console at adminconsole.adobe.com
