Learn how to create and manage on-demand events in Adobe Connect to deliver flexible, self-paced experiences.
On-demand events in Adobe Connect are self-paced sessions that allow participants to access content at their convenience, without requiring a scheduled or real-time session. These events are ideal for asynchronous learning, training, and content distribution.
Unlike live webinars or virtual classrooms, on-demand events are pre-recorded or pre-uploaded sessions that users can access anytime, offering flexibility for both organizers and attendees.
When to Use On-Demand Events in Adobe Connect
On-demand events are ideal when you want to offer flexible, self-paced access to your content. Consider using them in the following scenarios:
- Time flexibility: Your audience is spread across time zones or has conflicting schedules that prevent live attendance.
- Content repurposing: You want to extend the value of previously delivered webinars or training sessions by making them available on demand.
- Participation tracking: You need to track registrations and engagement metrics even without a live audience.
- Global reach: You aim to share training or marketing content with a geographically dispersed audience.

Understanding Live and On-Demand events
When creating an event in Adobe Connect, you can categorize it as either a Live event or an On-demand event.
Live Events
A Live event involves a presenter hosting a real-time session, such as a meeting or virtual classroom. These events are typically scheduled in advance, and participants join at a specific time.
On-Demand Events
An On-demand event allows users to access pre-recorded content at their convenience. You can use training courses, curricula, or content from the Adobe Connect Content Library. This format is ideal for self-paced learning or sharing content with a global audience.
- Live event content: Adobe Connect meetings or virtual classrooms
- On-Demand event content: Content from the Adobe Connect library, training courses, or curriculums.
Once you've chosen your content, complete the following setup:
- Configure event settings: Define event details such as title, description, and scheduling options.
- Set permissions for participants: Control who can access the event and what actions they can perform.
- Customize event registration: Tailor the registration form and confirmation messages to suit your audience.
- Manage participants: Monitor registrations, send reminders, and track engagement.
