Open an online PDF file in the Acrobat browser extension, and select Share in the global bar. The Copy web link card displays.
Share a PDF file from the Acrobat extension via an existing web link or upload your file and share an Adobe Cloud link.
Share a web link
Select Copy to capture the displayed web link.
Share the copied link with recipients.
Recipients can access the PDF directly in their browser. Any edits you made to the file aren't included when you share a file using this option.
Share for review using Adobe Cloud
In the share card, select your preferred third-party app, such as Outlook, Gmail, Teams, or WhatsApp.
The shared document opens on any device and is stored securely in Adobe Cloud.
Define Link settings to control user access and permissions.
Who can access:
- Anyone with the link: Anyone who has the link can access the file. Use this for external collaborators, clients, or anyone outside your organization.
- Anyone in your organization with the link: Only employees in your company can access the PDF. Use this to share internal drafts, policies, or any document that shouldn't leave your organization. This option is selected by default for enterprise users.
What they can do:
- Can comment: Recipients can view and add comments to the document. Use this when you want feedback, annotations, or approvals from others.
- Can view: Recipients can only view the document. Use this for finalized documents or sensitive files.
Select Apply to confirm link settings.

Unshare a PDF
Open the shared PDF link.
Select Share from the top menu.
In the dialog box, select the profile icon next to Shared with to view collaborators, manage access, or stop sharing the file.
Select Unshare.
