Average the position of the anchor points

Learn how to average anchor points for precise alignment when refining shapes or merging paths in Illustrator.

Press Shift and select multiple anchor points along paths using the Direct Selection tool.

Select Object > Path > Average.

In the Average dialog box, select Horizontal, Vertical, or Both to average the anchor points along the required axis, and then select OK.
