Learn how to export your PDFs in different formats using Acrobat on mobile.

With an Acrobat subscription, you can export PDF files to multiple formats. When exporting PDFs to document formats, Acrobat supports OCR (optical character recognition), which converts scanned text into editable text. OCR is not supported when exporting to image formats.

Open Acrobat mobile

Export as a document

Select More options> Export as… for the file you want to export.

Select the Document tab.

Choose the desired export format: DOCX, DOC, RTF, XLSX, or PPTX

To change the document language, tap the option under DOCUMENT LANGUAGE and select your preferred language.
By default, Acrobat uses the language of your installed app.

Select Export.
The exported file is saved to Adobe cloud storage.

Export as an image

Select More options> Export as… for the file you want to export.

Select the Image tab.

Choose the preferred image format and then select Export.

Select the pages you want to export or tap Select all to export all pages.

To share the exported pages, select Share images and follow the prompts.

To save the images to your device, tap Save to photos.

The first time Acrobat accesses your photos, you may be asked to grant permission. Select an option to continue.

Select the Document tab.

Choose the desired export format: DOCX, DOC, RTF, XLSX, or PPTX

Select the Image tab.

Choose the preferred image format and then select Continue.

Select the pages that you want to export as images or Select all to select all the pages.

To share the exported pages, select Share images and follow the prompts.

To save the images to your device, tap Save to Photos.

The first time Acrobat accesses your photos, you may be asked to grant permission. Select an option to continue.
