This document contains late-breaking product information, updates, and troubleshooting tips not covered in the Adobe Captivate documentation.
What's new in this update
Adobe Captivate Classic 11.8.4 (release date: 24 Feb, 2026) includes general enhancements and fixes aimed at improving stability and overall product experience.
This update is Windows-only.
Bug fixes in this update
Adobe Captivate Classic 11.8.4 fixes the following bugs:
- In some projects, Captivate behaved unexpectedly or became unresponsive when you added a long CPVC video demo as a slide background and then tried to publish or playback the timeline.
- Captivate became unresponsive or only published a few seconds of content when publishing a Video Demo to YouTube HD, especially for longer recordings (e.g., ~20 minutes or more). Normal video publishing (non–YouTube HD) was not affected.
