Dragging Adobe Creative Suite 4 and point product application folders to the Trash does not completely uninstall the suite or point product on Mac OS.

If you need to remove Adobe Creative Suite CS4 suites or point products, you must use the uninstaller instead of manually deleting application folders by dragging them to the Trash. Manually deleting application folders before using the uninstaller may cause problems when you try to reinstall.

To uninstall Adobe Creative Suite CS4:

  1. Navigate to a suite application folder (e.g. /Application/Adobe Photoshop CS4).
  2. Double-click the "Uninstall Adobe [product name] CS4" shortcut.
  3. Click "Select All" in the Uninstaller.

Note: To uninstall a subset of suite applications, click the checkbox beside the individual applications instead of "Select All".
  4. Click "Uninstall".

To uninstall a Creative Suite 4 point product:

  1. Navigate to the point product application folder (e.g. /Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver CS4).
  2. Double-click the "Uninstall Adobe [product name] CS4" shortcut.
  3. Click "Uninstall".
