Copy style attributes between elements

With Adobe Muse CC 2018.1, you can copy right-click and copy the style attributes of one element and then simply right-click another element and select Paste Attributes. You can also selectively copy and paste attributes as well using this feature. 

Fixes to customer-reported issues and Stability & Performance Improvements

This release patches issues reported in the October 2017 release, and other errors that caused the app to crash.

This release patches issues reported from the August 2017 release. Fixes include page layout issues in sites created in previous versions, unexpected app behavior while exporting sites, and other errors that caused the app to crash. 

Backward compatible files in Adobe Muse

With Adobe Muse CC 2018, when you open a .muse file created in an older version of the app, file conversion takes place. This file cannot be reopened in an older version of Muse. To ensure that you have a copy of the file as created in the older version, a backup copy is automatically created at the same location.

Responsive Widgets

Slideshow, Composition, and Contact Form widgets are now fully responsive. The widgets are responsive not only on export but also on the design surface while editing and modifying them. While dragging newer widgets onto the canvas will be responsive out of the box - you can also choose to make widgets in your older projects responsive by setting responsive sizing and pinning to it.

Stability and Performance Improvements

This release of Muse contains stability improvements to improve the reliability of the Muse app. Performance-related improvements help you get started and deliver faster than before.

For example, the file open operation, especially files that have multiple pages and a large number of break points, now open quickly in Muse. Also, enhancements to the export workflows ensure that you are able to get your site online sooner. 

Productivity Improvements

Muse CC 2017.1 contains various enhancements to the usability of the app. Important improvements include:

Select a sub-element in a group. With nested groups of widgets or elements, you can now double-click a sub-element to select it and access its properties. Previously, one had to recursively select each parent element to access a sub-element. 

Pinch to zoom. You can now use a trackpad or a touchscreen device to zoom in or out of a view the placement and position of objects. 

Fixes to customer-reported issues

This update also contains fixes to various issues that customers have reported. These include usability improvements, fixes that caused the app to crash, or unexpected behaviors.

• Bug Fixes:
  • An image that has no scaling applied to it retains its hyperlink after it is published to BC.

  • Muse no longer quites unexpectedly on opening a .muse file from a network location.
  • For a given selection, when you drag the vertical move handle beyond 0 px on the ruler, the scroll bar continues to be visible.
  • If a rotated image has been stored in CC Library, dragging the asset onto the canvas retains the expected orientation (continues to stay rotated).
  • On a page with multiple items having varying stroke weights, you can now apply a 0 stroke weight to one or more items.
  • The alignment property of Submit button text is retained on export.
  • On exporting a page with a stroke applied, page items retain their sizes and positions.
  • In Design mode, on using the Responsive Scrubber, State buttons that are nested within compositions work as expected.
    
  • Muse files on network folders open without errors.
  • While uploading a site containing images to a web server, no .htaccess file errors are observed, and the upload completes as expected.

After publishing your Adobe Muse CC site, clicking the Share button displays options to share the URL of your site and a link to where you can edit your site using In-Browser Editing.

In-Browser Editing Merge Dialog

The all-new Merge dialog shows changes directly - in the context of the design. Also, syncing changes from In-Browser Editing is now a smoother experience.

Form-related Improvements

reCAPTCHA v2

Muse CC 2017 includes the new iteration of reCAPTCHA that adds the checkbox with “I am not a robot.” Google recently changed their keys that are generated, so that freshly-made keys will only work on this new version of reCAPTCHA. Keys that were generated before August will work on both versions of reCAPTCHA. Try it out and let us know if Google knows you’re not a robot!

Submit button

With Adobe Muse CC 2017, the Submit button on a Form is now rendered using HTML and CSS. This results in high-quality rendering on any screen and at any zoom level. 

Performance Improvements and Bug Fixes

Improved performance of drawing, typing and scrubbing when working with complex pages and multiple breakpoints.

• While loading some sites containing certain combinations of custom HTML or third party widgets, the browser shows an error message that begins "JavaScript exception: Error calling selector function.”
• Composition triggers can be horizontally misaligned on export if they have different stroke weights across states
• Selecting Undo after resizing the width of a page in Design mode can cause a crash with the error message, “unknown BP type” 
• Moving an object within the Layers panel also moves the object vertically on the page
• Widgets with page-pinned triggers with different styling in their normal and active states look misaligned when published

Scroll Effects in Fixed-Width Breakpoints

You can now use scroll effects for items on any breakpoint set to fixed-width. The breakpoint's fixed or fluid width setting can be changed through the Breakpoint Properties, available by double-clicking a breakpoint or right-clicking it.

Responsive Width & Height Rectangles, YouTube, and Vimeo Widgets

The responsive width and height resize option is now enabled for rectangles as well as YouTube and Vimeo widgets.

Vertical Move Handle

This handle is a game-changer when working with responsive sites! When an object is selected on the page, the Vertical Move Handle appears and allows the option of moving all objects below it. When using the handle, objects below the top of the current selection will be moved up and down the page. Double clicking on the handle will select all items below the Vertical Move Handle.

Native Illustrator File Support

AI files can now be directly placed into Muse. Say hello to easy vector update workflows through the Asset panel you know and love! SVGs are automatically generated when your site is published.

Google Page Speed Improvements

Muse now loads all JavaScript asynchronously. Additionally, if your site is hosted on an Apache web server and you FTP upload through Muse, we enable browser caching for CSS, images, and JavaScript files. These changes can help improve Google Page Speed ranking. We now give you the option to choose whether or not to allow your page to load faster using fallback fonts. New and existing sites have the same behavior as before (waiting for the web fonts to be available before displaying the page). This new feature is found in Site Properties in the Advanced tab under the Web Fonts section.

Adobe Comp CC

Muse is now integrated with Adobe Comp CC, an app that is available for iPhones and iPads. This app bridges the gap between mobile and desktop, allowing you to create your layout anywhere, anytime. Comp CC allows you to add components like rectangles, image placeholders, or text boxes by using hand gestures. The app converts these gestures into crisp graphics, enabling you to complete your layout within minutes.

CC Libraries Color Improvements

CC Libraries color has been taken to the next level of ease of use. Now you can add custom-named swatches to the Swatches panel. Also try multi-select with right-click to add multiple colors to the Swatches panel at one time. Objects can have stroke set to a CC Libraries color and text color can also be set. Last but not least, you can now set the page or browser fill to a CC Library color.

Ellipse Tool

Create ellipses and circles with the new ellipse tool directly within Muse. Hold the shift-key to make circles.

Image Frame Tool

This new tool creates both rectangular and elliptical empty image frames on the page. Create placeholder image frames that you can fill later when the content is ready. Simply fill the empty frames by dragging into them at any time.

Collect Assets

Gathering up all a site's assets to move a project elsewhere has never been easier. It is now possible to copy all asset files used in a site to a single location on your computer.

Start Screen

The start screen has been updated to include new functionality common to CC applications.

Plan View Orientation

Plan view now includes a vertical layout option to see master and child pages. Sites with more pages and complex hierarchies will be a whole new experience.

Direct Editing of Minimum Page Width

The minimum page width is now directly editable using the breakpoints bar. Move your mouse to the edge of the minimum page size area in the breakpoints bar. When the cursor changes to a resize cursor, click and drag to adjust the minimum page size.

New Preference for Preview IP Address

Some firewall settings prevent Muse Preview and Preview In Browser from making a connection. If you're having trouble previewing, there is a new preference in the Muse Preference dialog that allows you to choose from 3 different connection settings.

Sticky Footer with CSS

Our sticky footer feature, where if a page doesn't reach the bottom of the browser we resize the page's height, has been rewritten using CSS in addition to JavaScript. Short pages that use this feature will load faster.

Responsive Design

Create beautiful responsive websites in a completely free-form manner, allowing you to design visually and without constraints.

• Build fully responsive sites without having to think like a developer. You don’t have to worry about code -- Muse will make sure your site will look great on virtually all browsers and devices.

• You can continue to work the way you always have, by adding responsive functionality to your site whenever you want. Existing sites made with earlier versions of Muse will remain unchanged unless you decide to modify them.

• Muse will facilitate whatever responsive design approach you choose, whether it’s mobile or desktop first.

Creative Cloud Libraries

Seamlessly browse and reuse creative assets like colors and graphics from Adobe desktop and mobile tools with the Creative Cloud Libraries panel. Libraries sync to Creative Cloud and can be shared so you and your team always have the files you need, when you need them.

Adobe Stock Integration

Adobe Stock can now be accessed directly in Adobe Muse, just like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. You can find, license and manage royalty-free images and vector graphics as you design and build sites. Select from 45 million assets, save your selection to your Creative Cloud Libraries and then drag it into your website to use.

State Transitions

Animate the transition of an image or other element from one state to another by setting the Fade options in the States panel. Users can set separate Delay, Duration and Timing Functions for each state and each element.

Import and Export Color Swatches

In the Swatches Palette, the Context Menu (right -lick in an empty area of the panel) now includes two options to Import and Export swatch libraries as Adobe Swatch Exchange (ASE) files.

CSS Text Shadows

Shadows applied to text frames without any fill and border now cause the shadow to be applied to the text, regardless of the font used. In previous versions of Muse, text shadows could only be applied to text frames containing a system font and resulted in the text being exported as an image.

SVG Improvements

Similar to placed images, SVGs now have a parent frame which can be styled and used to crop the SVG if desired. As a result, SVGs can now be added to slideshows. We've also made improvements to render SVGs more quickly in Design view. Finally, imported SVGs can be relinked to raster images, and imported images can be relinked to SVGs.

Rotation Detection in Images

Images that have rotation information embedded in them (such as those taken with a mobile device) will now be rotated properly when placed.

Welcome Screen & Starter Designs

Starter designs and help content are no longer displayed directly in the Welcome Screen. Both resources are still available and have been updated to help you get started with responsive design quickly and easily.

Adobe Typekit Web Fonts

• Premium web fonts from Adobe Typekit may now be used in your designs without ever leaving Adobe Muse. You can try a limited selection of fonts from the Adobe Typekit library with any level of Creative Cloud plan, and if you’ve subscribed to a paid plan, you’ll have access to the full library with thousands of fonts.
• Find the perfect font using a rich integrated browsing UI available by selecting “Add Web Fonts” from the Fonts dropdown menu
• Once added, work with Adobe Typekit fonts on the design canvas just like you would any other font
• Instantly preview Adobe Typekit web fonts in Adobe Muse Preview mode or your local browser.
• Publish to any host with zero extra configuration; Adobe Muse automatically creates web font “kits” for your live site.

Renamed “Web Safe” Fonts

• The “Web Safe” font category is now named “Standard Fonts (with fallbacks)”. This better communicates that each entry is a list of fonts (e.g., Verdana, Tahoma, Geneva, sans-serif) that the browser tries in succession until it finds one that is installed on the viewer’s computer. Use of these fonts is a big source of inconsistent site visitor experience, making them, in fact, less “safe” than “Web Fonts”.
• The list of fallback fonts is presented directly in the font list rather than hidden in a tool-tip

Web Font Characters

• Two predefined character set options may be chosen for web fonts served to the browser. The setting applies to both Adobe Typekit and Edge Web Font services, and can be changed per site and per page using the Site & Page Properties dialogs. The options are:
• Default subset: “Latin 1” characters: covers Western European languages, excludes glyphs such as common ligatures, but loads faster. This is the initial setting for most new sites.
• All: All characters in the font: may provide greater language coverage and include glyphs such as common ligatures, but loads slower. This is the initial setting for all existing sites, and well as new sites created in certain locales (Dutch, Polish, Russian, and Turkish).
• Inherited (Page Properties only): Inherit from master page or site.

Additional Site URLs

• The Upload to FTP Host and Export as HTML dialogs now support multiple entries in the Site URL field. If your site can be accessed via multiple URLs, you can specify them using a comma-separated list such as katiescafe.com, katiescafe.net, katiericks.com/cafe. This ensures that Adobe Muse will configure Adobe Typekit web font kits for all supported URLs. For sites hosted with Adobe Business Catalyst, the list of URLs is determined automatically, so you not need to specify them in Adobe Muse.

Form Improvements

• Radio Button Groups and Checkbox Groups are now available within Adobe Muse's built-in Forms. Groups can be added using the following custom field controls, which are available in the on-object UI popup when the form is selected.
• Radio Button Groups: To add a radio button to an already added Radio Button Group, select the added group. Clicking the ‘+’ Radio Button control with the Radio Button group selected will add the Radio Button to the selected group.
• Checkbox Groups: Similar to Radio Button Groups, Checkbox Groups can be added by clicking the ‘+’ Checkbox Group control while the form is selected. To add a checkbox to the newly added Checkbox Group, select the added group. Clicking the ‘+’ Checkbox control with the Checkbox Group selected will add the checkbox to the selected group. Clicking the ‘+’ Checkbox control with the form selected will add the checkbox as an ungrouped control to the form. Emails from form submissions with Checkbox Groups include a comma-delimited list of labels from the selected checkboxes in each group.
• Email field no longer required: The email field is no longer required in a form and can be removed.

Layers Panel Improvements

• Custom naming of page items: Double-click the name of an object in the Layers panel to enter name-editing mode. Names are limited to 100 characters. To reset an object’s name to its default, simply delete the name.
• Naming of item when importing .PSD files with layers: When you import a .PSD file with layers and choose to import one or more layers (instead of the composite image), the Layers panel will indicate the corresponding .PSD layer name(s). The initial name for the item will match the Assets panel name. e.g. "Artwork.PSD (Background)". Expanding the Image Frame to show the Image will indicate just the layer name. Like all items in the Layers panel, the name can still be customized.
• Ability to drag on the eye or lock icons to set multiple rows at once: Click-drag on the eye or lock icon to hide/show or lock/unlock respectively a range of items. The first icon you click determines the on or off action while the mouse is down (e.g. item hiding or item locking). While the mouse is down, drag through adjacent rows to set their state.
• Expand/collapse all rows in Layers panel: Option-click (alt-click on Windows) on the expansion triangle in a Layers panel row to show the entire hierarchy. Repeating will collapse the entire hierarchy.

Lightbox Improvements

• Slideshows and Composition widgets now have a new Auto Lightbox feature that automatically displays the Lightbox when the page loads instead of when clicking on a trigger.
• Warnings are generated if multiple Auto Lightboxes are placed on the same page.

In-Browser Editing Improvements

• Users can now add or edit hyperlinks in the browser using the In-Browser Editing service. Hyperlink changes made in the browser can be merged back into your Adobe Muse file via the File > Sync with Web Version option. 

General Enhancements

• The Effects panel is now available as a separate free-floating palette when selected from the Window menu.
• Added a new UI Scaling Preference for Windows. In Adobe Muse's Preferences Dialog you can control the scaling behavior of the Adobe Muse interface when the display has been set to 125%. Adobe Muse supports scale factors of 100%, 150% and 200% when running on high-resolution displays. For scale factors like 125%, which fall between two supported scale factors, the preference allows users to choose between the lowest and highest supported scale factor.

• Muse sites with both a Tablet and Phone rendition of a page now include a redirect from the Tablet page to the Phone page in order to be more mobile-friendly as defined by Google, who announced their expanded use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. 
• Copying multiple text frames, which have been tagged using different collections via the Content panel, and pasting to a new project results in a crash with the alert, "Assert: Don't know how to generate rendered data for type:type_guid.”
• Deleting expanded objects from the Layers panel results in a crash if that object has multiple levels of child objects which have also been expanded.
• Undoing the deleting of all text from the “Form Message” field of a Form results in a crash.

• For Windows users experiencing a larger than expected Muse UI, which is triggered by setting the display resolution to 125%, a new environment variable can be added to reduce the size of the UI.
• Relinking or updating Assets that include an image used as both a browser background fill image and the background fill image for other objects would cause subsequent Save or Save As attempts to report a variety of different errors (i.e. “Object UID:U### has two (or more) owners…”, “UIDs with Multiple Owners…”, “Dangling Ref or Ownership…”, etc.) or other errors (i.e. “Asking to recursive delete xxx that’s already marked deleted”).
• While opening a Muse project file, some users were seeing a warning about images being up sampled yet the images in the Assets panel failed to identify which images were being up sampled.
• Opening an older Muse project file containing widgets with placed SVGs or text frames with missing fonts could result in a ‘very large bounds’ error.

The change in metrics may change text baseline positions for existing Muse files. To revert to the original baseline positions, choose File > Site Properties > Advanced > Use Legacy Text Baseline Positions.
• Superscript, Subscript, Uppercase and Lowercase are now available as text attributes in the Text panel.
• Missing Fonts - Pink highlights indicate text where the applied font is not available on your system.
• Double-click drag in a text frame now selects text on word boundaries.

Widget enhancements

• A custom Button Image can now be set for the PayPal widget. The image will appear as an Upload asset in the Assets panel.
• Added the ability for a MuCOW widget developer to include a file browse control in the widget’s on-object UI. The PayPal widget improvement above is an example of this new feature of MuCOW widgets.
• Custom colors can be set for the Title and Byline text in the Vimeo widget.
• Added the ability for a MuCOW widget developer to include a color picker control in the widget’s on-object UI. The Vimeo widget improvement above is an example of this new feature of MuCOW widgets.

Show or hide frame edges – Adobe Muse now draws a light-colored outline (frame edges) on Objects and Text Frames by default, making it easy for you to see objects that don't have a stroke or fill applied. The color of the frame edge corresponds with the layer on which the object or text frame is placed. When you select or roll over the object or text frame, the frame edge appears darker. To toggle Frame Edges, select View > Show/Hide Frame Edges or Ctrl+H (Windows) / Control+Command+H (Mac OS).

Adobe Muse CC for Enterprise and Education - Enterprise and Education customers can now install Muse as part of the main payload in the Creative Cloud Packager. It’s no longer necessary to use the Exception Deployer on Mac or Windows.

Auto-detect FTP settings - When initiating upload via FTP, Muse gives you the option to automatically detect the most secure publishing option available for your hosting provider.

Spend less time reversing default styling

• New rectangles now default to having no stroke and no fill.
• Use the "Clear All Styling" option from the context menu to remove all styling applied to an item. When used, the resulting item contains no fill, stroke, or effect, and default text styling.
• Use the "Clear Widget Content" option from the context menu to remove all content populating a widget. The “Clear Widget Content” option allows you to easily remove placeholder content from a widget.

Plan view improvements

• Pages that are marked as “do not export" are now rendered in a way that indicates they will not be exported.
• Drag a master page to where you want to add a page based on that master to your site.

Panel improvements

• “Delete Unused Layers” by selecting the option from the context menu within the Layers panel.
• The opacity control in the Control Strip now rounds to 10% increments when the shift key is pressed while typing the up/down arrow keys.
• Right-mouse clicking on an Upload Asset or Background Image in the Assets panel will include a context menu showing where the asset is used in the document.
• Right-mouse clicking on a Paragraph Style, Graphic Style, Character Style, or Bullet Style will include a context menu showing where the style is used in the document.

Site conversion and optimization

• Muse now displays a progress bar when opening a document
• Libraries are converted at the first launch of a new version of Muse instead of when first accessing each Library item.
• Remove excess image data from background images stored in a Muse project. This optimization does not alter the size or quality of images generated by Muse but it does avoid renaming of some background images. This optimization dramatically reduces the total size of some .muse files. It is part of the conversion step when opening older documents. This conversion step may be slow for documents with lots of high resolution background images, but will not have to be run again once the file has been saved. We strongly recommend saving to a new file so that you can continue to use your original document with older versions of Muse and to have as a backup. Because of the reduced size, the performance of many other operations may improve.

Business Catalyst

New device detection for redirect to tablet or phone site. Publishing a site with multiple layouts now includes an additional “Redirect” choice in the “Options” section of the Publish dialog. The “Universal Redirect” looks only at screen size and touch screen support to choose a corresponding layout. The “Business Catalyst Redirect” uses a device database. The “Universal Redirect” is the method used for sites not hosted on BC and is now the default for sites hosted on BC.

• Self-host your own web fonts — Adobe Muse now supports self-hosted web fonts in addition to our free Edge Web Fonts service. To self-host a font for use in your Adobe Muse site, install the system font (properly licensed for desktop use) and provide the corresponding web font files (properly licensed for use on a website).
• Add customizable bullet & numbering styles — The new Bullet Styles Panel lets you define and apply custom bullet characters and numbering lists.
• Insert special characters with ease — The new Glyphs Panel gives you direct access to full character sets for individual typefaces, including web fonts. This allows easy insertion of symbols, like © or ᵝ, that aren’t available on a standard keyboard.

In-Browser Editing On Your Host

• Sites uploaded using the built-in "Upload to FTP Host" feature now offer In-Browser editing features similar to those available when publishing to Adobe Business Catalyst.

Platform

• Native, 64-bit application. The foundation of Adobe Muse CC has been rebuilt as a native, 64-bit application. A portion of the Adobe AIR technology is now embedded within Muse. Separate installation of Adobe AIR is no longer required.
• New Minimum System Requirements. Windows 7, or later. 64-bit version required. Mac OSX 10.7, or later. Internet Explorer 8 or higher, Internet Explorer 11 is highly recommended.
• In-App Muse Preview. In-App Muse Preview now uses the browser technology from the OS (the version of Safari or IE you have installed).
• Internal FTP Client. The internal FTP client has been replaced, and the code for encrypting and storing FTP credentials has been rewritten.
• Subscription Login/Activation Code. Subscription Login/Activation Code is entirely new and now matches that of other Adobe products.
• Installer. Installer is all new and now integrates more seamlessly with the Creative Cloud installer. Note: installation will be slower because the native app is much larger than prior versions of Muse.
• Lock Files. To help prevent file corruption of files stored in shared locations Muse now generates temporary .MULK files for .MUSE files while they’re being edited.

User Interface

• Panels. Panel and window behaviors now match InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, including tear-off panels and multiple windows. You can also reset all panels to the app default state from the Window > Reset Panels menu.
• Toolbox. The tools are now located in a Toolbox panel and by default docked on the left.
• 100% Width Toggle. The Control Strip now contains a specific control to turn on/off elastic 100% browser width behavior for objects that support it. This achieves the same result as dragging object edges to the left and right edges of the browser area in Design view, but more efficiently.
• Text Panel Enhancements. The text panel now includes the ability to add tags (h1, p tag, etc.) Tags also continue to be available in Style Options.
• Workspaces. Plan, Design, Preview, Publish and Manage controls are now located on the far right of the App Bar.
• Default Page and Browser Attributes. When creating a new Muse site, pages by default have no fill or stroke and the Browser Fill color is set to white. All attributes can be overridden.
• Retina Display UI. The Muse application UI has been fully optimized for Retina displays.
• Window/Menu “Flashing”. The main menu bar on Windows no longer flashes. Palette window(s) no longer flash and/or temporarily fall behind the main window/other windows.
• Keyboard Shortcuts. Localized keyboard shortcuts are now included.
• Remember Last Folder. The File Open/Save dialogs on both platforms remember the last used folder.
• Hiding. Hiding the app on the Mac no longer fails to hide the Design view.
• Hello. We’re conducting a test of a new Welcome Screen experience called “Hello” that some USA English customers will see.
• Streamlined FTP. The interface for uploading your site to a FTP host is redesigned to be easier to use.

Productivity

• Background Image Fills. Containers with background image fills now support the ability to cut, copy, paste or replace from the right+click context menu.
• Replace Image. Images can now be replaced (aka relinked) via a choice in the right+click context menu for the image in Design view, in addition to the context menu for the entry in the Assets panel.

Widgets

• 100% Width Slideshows. In addition to supporting full-screen slideshows (in Muse 7) we now support fixed height/full width slideshows.
• Slideshow “Resume” Enhancement. Autoplay slideshows stop after being interacted with. Now they can be set to resume after N seconds.
• Form Widget Name Field. Name fields are now optional in forms. (E-mail address is still required.)
• Form Widget Bug Fixed. Addressed bug where e-mails sent by forms would appear as code when sent from some hosting providers.
• Accordion Widget Bug Fixed. Fixed bug where an accordion widget set to overlap content below would prevent mouse events (rollover or clicks) from reaching items placed in the area that will be overlapped.
• HiDPI Button Widget. New widget allows website visitors to switch between normal and HiDPI versions of the images being delivered to their browser.
• MuCOW Additions. Ability to add a horizontal separator line in widget UI, extra info text in the UI, and a warning that can be displayed when a default value isn’t changed.

Code Generation

• Hi-resolution site creation. Websites generated in Muse now support the option to optimize output for both standard and high-resolution/Retina displays.
• Browser Compatibility. Muse output is no longer fully compatible with Internet Explorer 7 or earlier — some elements will not render consistently in these earlier browsers.
• Site Consistency Checking. Added in-browser checks that confirm most the files for a given page are present on the server and are of the correct version. (One of the most common causes of support cases is customers using an external FTP client and failing to upload all the necessary files to the correct locations.)
• CSS-Generated 100% width. 100% width is now accomplished using CSS rather than JavaScript. This makes for a smoother user experience on page load and when resizing the browser window. However, this change is incompatible with IE7.

Design Mode

• 100% Width Edge Animations. Edge Animations can now be set to 100% width if they’ve been exported from Edge Animate as resizable animations.
• Corner Radius Limit Increased. The limit was increased to 25,000 from the previous limit of 100.

Social Widgets

• We've added a new class of widgets to the Widget Library -- known as Social (HTML) widgets. These widgets contain embedded HTML which can be configured within Muse by way of the "Options" panel when the widget is dragged onto the design canvas.
  
• These HTML widgets are built from embedded HTML provided by external websites, and work best when displayed on a live website.
• The following Social widgets are included with this release: Facebook Comments, Facebook Follow, Facebook Like, Google Maps, LinkedIn, Muse Badge, Paypal, Pinterest, Twitter Follow, Twitter Tweet, Vimeo Video, YouTube Video.

Extensibility of Muse HTML embed widgets (.mucow)

• In this release, we have introduced a new widget type (located in the Social folder of the Widgets Library Panel). These widgets have a unique, extensible structure known as .mucow (Muse Configurable Options Widget) that allows code savvy Muse users to create new Embed HTML widgets based on parameters defined in a simple XML file. To learn more about creating a custom XML .mucow file that can be placed in Muse please refer to the Adobe Muse .mucow documentation.

User Library

• Muse design elements (guides, widgets, text, as well as all associated paragraph/graphic/named swatches associated with each element) can now be saved in a persistent User Library panel. Library elements can be exported to the new .mulib format and distributed. Double-clicking on a .mulib file in the MacOS Finder or Windows Explorer will install the library within the Muse application.

• Library elements are persistent (remain with the application irrespective of current open Muse document).
• Example Library elements may be downloaded from the Muse Exchange page -- Click the link in the preview area of the Muse Library panel, or go directly to the Muse Exchange page on the Muse website.
• For more specifics please refer to the Organizing and reusing common elements using Library panel article in our Help system.

Full Screen Slideshow Widget

• We have added a new "Full Screen" widget in the Slideshow area of the Widget panel. Selecting this option will make Hero images placed in the slideshow scale to fit or fill the browser window. To see the feature in action please see Working with Slideshow widgets.
• Slideshows set to fullscreen can also have a "Lightbox" option enabled. The Lightbox behavior defines a default padding for images in the Lightbox state -- the size of this padding can be controlled in the Spacing panel.
• Lightbox full screen slideshows can be closed in the browser by way of an optional Close Box widget element, or by pressing the Escape key on the keyboard. On touch enabled devices the image can be dismissed by way of the optional close box or by tapping the Hero image directly.

State Button Widget

• We have added a new "Button Widget" in the Composition area of the Widget panel. Objects (text, images, Photoshop buttons, widgets, etc.) placed inside this container will synchronize states (up, over, down and active) when any area of the container is interacted with.
• The Button widget can be rotated.

Compositions Widget Improvements

• We've added a number of new options to hide target for Fading transition. To see the "hide on rollout" feature in action please see Hiding Composition widgets on rollout to create submenus. Additional features include:
  • Show Target: On Click, Hide Target: None/On Click/On Rollout/On Rollout of Trigger and Target
  • Show Target: on Rollover, Hide Target: None/On Rollout/On Rollout of Trigger and Target
• You can now select a "Close" button when the position is set to "Stacked". Clicking the Close box will hide the active target.
• Compositions parts can now be pinned.
• When adding additional trigger/target sets the default heuristic behavior has been improved, making it easier to see a newly added element.

Slideshow Widget Improvements

• Selecting "Free Form Thumbnails" from the On-object UI allows a free-style thumbnails arrangement. Note: although thumbnails may be freely placed on the canvas, resizing a single thumbnail will still resize all other thumbnails. To learn more please refer to the Configuring free form thumbnails in Slideshow widgets topic in our Help system.
  
• Slideshow widgets include sample images to make understanding their construction easier. Now adding an image to the Slideshow for the first time will automatically delete all original "for position only" images.
• Slideshow parts can now be pinned.

Rotated Panels

• Both the Tabbed Panel Widget and Accordion Widget support freeform rotation.

Cross-Browser Leading Consistency

• A new site property 'Round Leading to a Whole Number' has been added. When this feature is enabled and leading is specified as a percentage of font size (e.g., 120% of 14px), the calculated value (e.g., 16.8px) will now be rounded to a whole number (e.g., 17px). Leading is more consistent across browsers when rounded.
  
• The property is off for existing sites, but on for new sites and can be controlled in the Site Properties > Content area.

Image Handling

• A new option in this release, "Convert opaque PNG to JPEG," controls whether Muse will automatically convert PNG images with no transparency to JPEG. JPEG images are typically significantly smaller than PNG, which translates to faster load times when viewing your site in a browser. JPEG is a compression scheme that sometimes discards small amounts of image data in order to achieve greater compression. Typically, there is no noticeable affect on the image. However, for some images, JPEG compression can cause very small distortions known as JPEG artifacts. These artifacts can be avoided by turning this option off if the original image is not already a JPEG. This option can be found in Site Properties > Content.
• This release of Adobe Muse CC uses a Bicubic Sharper algorithm to produce higher quality images when resampling is required due to resizing an image smaller. Earlier versions of Adobe Muse CC used a more generic Bicubic algorithm.

Scroll Effects Improvements

• We have expanded the scroll effects feature set in this release. The following feature improvements can be found in the Scroll Effects panel:
  
  • Opacity -- unique opacity values before and after key position, including transition intervals to/from these opacities and opacity at key position
  • Slideshow -- Can be applied to Muse slideshows including the new "Full Screen Slideshow" widget. Define start play position, or choose to switch slides every specified amount of pixels scrolled
  • Edge Animate -- Control when a placed animation file begins playing or link its main timeline to the page scroll and define the ratio between scrolling distance and frames played. This option affects only objects placed on the main timeline in Edge Animate.

Mobile Redirect Improvements

• We've added an option to turn on/off redirect for mobile layouts in the Site Properties dialog. This feature is useful for a layout that is not ready and should not be redirected to yet (work-in-progress). Please note -- the layout will still be exported though the redirect option is off, however mobile browsers will not redirect to mobile pages, and the exported files will not be included in sitemap.xml until this option is enabled in the Site Properties dialog.

Spell-check Improvements 

• User dictionaries (words added by the user) are now organized by language. You can add a word to the global user dictionary or to a language-specific user dictionary.
• You can also remove a word added previously.
• These actions can be performed using the context menu for a text selection or from the User Dictionary dialog launched by selecting Edit > Spelling > User Dictionary.

In-App Help Content

• In order to make accessing help content for specific features easier we've added direct help links within the Adobe Muse application. Look for the Help icon in various panels, widget options and drop down windows for specific help content.

Additional UI Languages 

• New localizations have been added for Russian, Finnish, Portuguese, Czech and Polish. These languages are now available in the Language drop down menu in the Adobe Muse Preferences > General window.

Scroll Effects (Parallax Scrolling)

• All existing background and position scroll effects now work when viewed on iOS devices. Be sure to re-publish your Muse design to take advantage of the code generation enhancements.
• Scroll effect controls have moved from the Effects drop-down window to a panel of its own. You can access the panel from the Window > Scroll Effects menu.
• Elements that are set to 100% of browser width can now have scroll motion applied.

Active State improvements for Hyperlinked Objects

• Anchor links can now display the active state of an object based on the scroll position. Items linked to an anchor will display in the Active state when the portion of the page associated with the anchor is in view.
• This setting is off by default for existing sites, and it is on for new sites. If you want to take advantage of this new feature in one of your existing sites, please go to Site properties, Content tab and check "Enable Active State for Anchor Links".

Other

• Fixed an issue which caused the application to crash when embedding youtube video HTML code.
• Fixed an issue which prevented forms from working if any label name contained a single quote character.

Additional UI Languages

• New localizations have been added for Danish, Norwegian, Traditional Chinese, Korean and Turkish. These languages are now available in the Language drop down menu in the Adobe Muse Preferences > General window.

Contact Forms for Most Hosting Platforms

• Muse forms now work when uploaded to most web hosting providers. If you use the built-in FTP upload feature the Muse application will attempt to verify that forms will work on your web host as part of the FTP upload process.
  
• If Muse forms are not working with your hosting provider, check this FAQ.
• Note that form CAPTCHAs are still only supported when published to Business Catalyst. On non-BC hosted sites Muse will attempt to limit the number of form submissions from a single site visitor (IP address) to help reduce form spam.

In-Browser Editing

• Muse now includes the ability to change images and text (site owner editing) on the published site by way of the Business Catalyst Administrator interface.
  
• Site owners do not need to install Muse (editing takes place in a web browser once editing access has been granted by a Muse designer).
• Changes made using In-Browser Editing can be merged back into the source Muse file.
• To learn more about this feature please refer to the In-Browser Editing.
  

Layers

• Muse now includes a Layers panel, loosely modeled after the Layers panel in InDesign. The Layers palette represents the exported Z-order of items on the page, with the front-most item on top.
• The Layers panel replaces the Master Foreground/Background feature delivered as part of the Muse Q1 release.
• By default a document has one layer, but you can add or delete layers by way of the Add/Delete buttons at the bottom of the Layers panel.
• Delete items by selecting row(s) in the palette and clicking on the trash can icon (or dragging rows to the trash can icon).
• Duplicate items by dragging rows to the New button or by Option/Alt dragging them to the desired new location.
• Rename layers and anchors by double-clicking on the label in the Layers panel to open a rename dialog, or click and pause to rename directly within the panel.
  
• View the hierarchy of page items and widgets by expanding that row of the palette
• Select items on the page by clicking on the small 'dot' on the right side of the item.
• Clicking the Locate button (next to the trash can at the bottom of the panel) will highlight an item selected in Design view in the Layers panel.
  

Metadata

• Metadata can now be assigned to master pages. The metadata is then shared across pages (and master pages) where that master page is applied.
  
• Master pages can now specify a prefix or a suffix (or both) for the page title on output.
• For regular pages, the fields in the Metadata dialog are larger, allowing you to see more of your keywords/description/head text.
• To make space, some of these fields moved to a new Options tab in the dialog.

Parallax Scrolling

• Scrolling Effects are now available for individual items and for tiled background image fills of items, the page and the browser background.
• Scroll Motion Effects can be set on individual items via the new "Scroll Motion" tab (the fourth tab) in the Effects panel off the Control Strip. This panel provides controls for the speed and direction of the scroll motion and enables you to specify a "Key Position" that indicates the vertical scroll position in the browser at which the item will have the vertical/horizontal position seen in Muse Design view. Using the scroll motion speeds specified, Muse will do the math to move the item so when the Key Position is reached during scrolling, the item is exactly where it was placed in Design view.
• Note Scroll Motion Effects are not available for 100% browser width objects, pinned objects, items that are inline within text, items within a group or items within a widget.
• Scrolling Effects for tiled background images can be set in the new Scroll tab in the Fill panel and Browser Fill panel off the Control Strip. To enable this feature, first import a background image and set the Fitting to Tiled, then set the scrolling effects in the Scroll tab.

Plan View Expand / Collapse

• In Plan view you can collapse and expand child pages by clicking below the parent page on the expand/collapse icon. This allows you to hide pages you don't need to look at, simplifying the Plan view and reducing the amount of scrolling you will need to do.
• Expand/collapse state is remembered in the saved Muse document, but will have no effect on output.

Vertical Text

• You can now design your sites with vertical text commonly used in East Asian writing systems. Text lines contain top-to-bottom content and flow from right to left.
• Vertical text can use the same set of typographic controls available for horizontal text.
• Vertical text is published to your website as live text that is selectable, searchable, and accessible.

Other

• Fixed an issue where the Assets panel did not scroll to an image when it was selected in a layout.
• Page Up, Page Down, and Home and End have been added as navigation keyboard shortcuts. They work in Plan, Design, and Preview mode.
• Muse has a new keyboard shortcut for ''Link to File…'. Read the tooltip on the 'Link to File…' item in the hyperlinks drop down to see the new shortcut for your language.

Spelling Checker

• Muse now includes a spelling checker which can be toggled on or off by selecting Edit > Spelling in the Muse menu.
• To see suggestions for misspelled words (with red squiggly underline) select the text using the Text Tool, then right-click on the selected word(s).
• To add a word to the spelling dictionary right-click on the word and select "Add . . . to Dictionary" in the right-click menu.
• To change the spelling checker language go to File > Site Properties, click on the Text tab and select the appropriate language in the Language drop-down menu. To change the language for an individual text frame right-click on the text frame and select Language from the popup menu.

Widget Improvements

• The widget fly-out options panel now opens automatically when a new widget is placed on the Design canvas to make configuring widgets more intuitive.
• Slideshow and Composition Widgets now include the option to turn on or off Swipe (touch) support and the ability to control transition speed (in addition to the time spent on each slide) in 0.1 second increments.
• The Accordion panel widget now supports "Close All" in Design view. The selected panel Design view will now be selected/active when previewing, exporting or publishing the site to Business Catalyst.
• The selected tab in Design view for the Tabbed panel widget will now be selected/active when previewing, exporting or publishing the site to Business Catalyst.
• When opening older documents Muse will either expand the first Accordion panel or collapse the Accordion in Design view depending on the selected options. In the instance of the Tabbed panel widget the first tab in the tabbed panel will be active/visible.
• The "Close all initially" option in the Accordion panel has been replaced by the new behavior that allows an accordion to be collapsed in Design view.
• The Accordion panel now includes an option to "Overlap Items Below". When selected content below the Accordion panel will not move down on the page as an Accordion panel is opened/expanded.
• In case we either switched an accordion to its first panel, or collapsed it initially, a reference to that accordion will be added to the new Warnings panel. The reason is that this change may slightly change the page design. We encourage you to review the design/browser behavior for those pages and when done, delete the warning(s) from the Warnings panel. Muse will remind you if there are warnings that were not resolved (deleted) prior to each export/publish.
• You can now change the Z-order (using Bring to Front/Bring Forward/Send Backward/Send to Back) of Triggers and Targets in Composition widgets without breaking the connection between Triggers and Targets. Similarly, you can now change the Z-order of Slideshow Thumbnail or Hero images without breaking the connection between them. Please note that changing the Z-order will change the order of slides/panels used for next/previous and auto play.
  

Master Page Improvements

• Hierarchical Master Pages - Video Overview
• Master page elements can now layer in front of content on those pages to which the Master has been applied. To re-order Master page content select elements on the Master page, right-click and select "Move to Master Foreground" or "Move to Master Background" from the popup menu. Alternatively select elements on the Master page, then select Object > Move to Background or Foreground in the Muse application menu. All elements in the Master page set to "Move to Master Foreground" will appear on top of all elements in the Page.
• Master Pages can now be applied to other Master Pages. All the workflows for applying a Master Page to a website page are now also available to apply a Master Page to another Master Page.
• To understand the complete chain of Master Pages applied to an individual page or Master Page mouse over the page name in the Site Plan layout — a tooltip will appear showing the chain of applied Master pages.

Publish to Business Catalyst Sub-Directories

• The Muse publish workflow now allows publishing to a specific host sub-directory on the Business Catalyst hosting platform. This feature has been available as part of the "Upload to FTP host" in the past and is now extended to publishing to the Business Catalyst platform.
• To publish to a sub-folder, select Publish, expand the Options drop down area, and enter the sub-folder name.

2-Dimensional Transforms

• For Tablet and Phone layouts, rotated items are now described in HTML as if they are unrotated then rotation is applied as a separate CSS 2D rotation property. This results in much cleaner images and text, and live selectable text in the browser. (Rotated items in Muse 3 and earlier were exported as images. Hence, the more you zoom in when viewing from a browser, the more pixelated the rotated item appears).
• This feature has been applied to Tablet and Phone layouts, with Desktop still in process (IE 7 and 8 do not support this CSS rotation property, so Muse engineering is working on a JavaScript implementation for these browsers. In the meantime bitmaps will continue to be generated for rotated Desktop objects).

Other

• Tablet and Phone Preview now has a toggle to preview Portrait or Landscape.
• When deleting a page item, Muse will now select the parent item, if any.
• The Page Properties dialog now includes an option to always show scrollbars in the browser.
• Pressing Escape exits Preview mode and takes you back to your last Design view page.

• Site Plan – You can now add alternate Site Plans for Desktop, Tablet and Phone versions of your website. This means you can create unique site plans and unique pages for individuals viewing your site from Desktop, Tablet or Smart Phones.
• Add Layout Options – You can choose to copy Site Plan and Master/Page backgrounds when adding alternate layouts for the Desktop, Tablet and Phone versions of your website.
• Redirects – Automatic redirects to device-specific layouts. When you browse an Adobe Muse site on a smart phone or tablet, the code generated by Adobe Muse will automatically load the appropriate layout for the device.
• Swipe Support Within Widgets – Vertical, Horizontal and Fade transitions now have swipe support. Simply publish your Adobe Muse site and any widget with a Vertical, Horizontal or Fade transition will have swipe support on touch enabled devices.
• Touch Support Within Menu Widget – Menu and Submenu selection now has touch support.
• Device Preview – Preview your Tablet layouts in various Tablet dimensions and your Phone layouts in various Phone dimensions. Preview will reflect the dimensions of the device you've selected in the Preview Size drop down, but not simulate device-specific features or nuances of the browser on a given device.
• Viewport Scaling – Sites generated from Muse utilize viewport metadata to assure a web page "fills" the width of the current screen of tablet or smartphone devices, both in landscape and portrait orientation.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Footer

• Sticky Footer Option –The Sticky Footer option is found in Site/Page Properties. When Sticky Footer is checked, the footer will stick to the bottom of the browser window unless the page is taller than the browser window. The Muse 2.x (and earlier) footer behavior is equivalent to Sticky Footer Off, where footer items stay directly below the page content and a gap may appear below the footer in the browser window for a short page. Sticky Footer is on by default in new sites and off in any sites converted from earlier versions of Muse.

FTP Upload

• Fixed bug where FTP upload could fail when uploading to Mac or Linux based servers.

Text

Widgets

Align Palette

• We've added a new Align Palette, available from the Window menu, or by clicking on the new 'Align' control in the control strip.
• You can use the new Align features to align or distribute selected objects relative to each other, or to the page content area (which is the area from the bottom of the header to the top of the footer).
  

Asset Upload

• You can now link to any external file (i.e. PDF, .zip file, .dmg or .exe) and add a hyperlink to it to enable users to download the file from your web site.
• All linked assets will be uploaded / exported along with the rest of the Adobe Muse site, in a new 'assets' folder.
  

Code Generation Improvements

• We've improved the HTML code generation for Adobe Muse in several areas. Shadows, Glows, and Gradients now use CSS instead of generating additional images.
• We've eliminated many cases where we generated duplicated HTML nodes. We've also changed our JavaScript framework for our widgets from Spry to a smaller, faster framework called WebPro.
• These changes make the export process faster, and Adobe Muse now generates less images and smaller HTML files.
• Shadows and outer glows are represented using CSS box-shadows instead of rasterizing.
• Fixed the naming of images exported by Adobe Muse which have been either resampled or cropped before exporting.
• Background images that have been set to "Scale to Fit" or "Scale to Fill" are now exported with the 'contain' or 'cover' background-size CSS property, respectively.
• Browsers display a warning when you serve a page that mixes HTTP and HTTPS content, which can be triggered if loading content from a content delivery network (CDN) such as Amazon's CloudFront. To avoid these warnings, Adobe Muse uses some JavaScript to not use CDN URLs with HTTPS in favor of falling back to a local version of the content.
  

Forms

• We've added a new Form widget to the widget library.
• You can easily configure the form to send the form submissions to multiple email addresses, and optionally redirect users to another page after submitting the form.
• You can add and remove fields, and style the form as you would other Adobe Muse elements. You can independently style the various states of the form, and form fields to provide a compelling user experience, with visual cues for error states, empty states, and more.
• Because Form processing requires server-side support, Adobe Muse forms are configured to work when published to Adobe Business Catalyst. If you make changes to your form and publish again, Adobe Muse will make the appropriate changes to your Adobe Business Catalyst forms.
• Adobe Muse will safeguard data when redesigning your Adobe Business Catalyst forms
  • If a field with no data submitted is removed, it will be deleted from the database.
  • If a field that has submitted data is removed, it will be preserved in the database, but can be deleted from the Adobe Business Catalyst admin console if desired.
    

Font Improvements

• The font UI includes font previews in the form of sample text rendered in the corresponding font/weight/style.
• Submenus for the various font types (web, web-safe and system) have been eliminated in favor of a single sectioned list, with shortcuts to scroll to each section.
• Web fonts and system fonts are grouped by font family; individual weights and styles (e.g. Bold, Italic, Bold Italic etc.) of multi-face font families appear in sub-menus.
• The font UI displays an automatically generated list of recently used fonts. The number of recently used fonts to display can be configured and list can be cleared.
• The font list can be filtered by font family (e.g. “Myriad Pro”), weight or style (e.g. “Bold Italic”), a combination of these (e.g., “Myriad Pro Bold Italic”), including partial names in any order (e.g., “It Bold Myr Pro”).
• Adobe Muse now uses platform-independent references to fonts, so Adobe Muse documents can be exchanged between Mac and Windows without failure to resolve font references.
• Adobe Muse displays localized font names (if available) based on the application locale, rather than system locale. Adobe Muse documents can be exchanged between across application locales without failure to resolve font references.

FTP Upload

• Adobe Muse now includes the ability to FTP to the host of your choice by selecting File > Upload to FTP Host in the Adobe Muse menu.
• Adobe Muse's FTP upload dialog allows you to specify the host, subdirectory, and login information.

Adobe Edge Integration

• If you publish an .oam file from Adobe Edge, you can place it into Adobe Muse. All required images, CSS and JavaScript content will be uploaded at Publish or Export time.
• As with other placed content any changes made in the source Adobe Edge file and re-saved in .oam format will be detected within Adobe Muse, and you can use the Assets Palette to update the content in Adobe Muse.
  

Language Support

• Japanese and Italian localizations have been added.
• Specific Japanese features include the addition of Japanese web safe fonts on the font menu as well as support for Japanese IME, including text input and double-byte text.
  

Ruler Guides

• Adobe Muse now includes the ability to drag guides onto a page from the Horizontal or Vertical ruler.
• Page items snap to guides when moving, but guides are not exported.
• Adobe Muse supports selecting multiple guides on a page.
  

Sitemap.xml

• Adobe Muse now creates a sitemap.xml file for better search engine optimization when the site is hosted somewhere other than Adobe Business Catalyst. You can exclude a page from the sitemap.xml file (if you don't want search engines to find it) by setting an option in the Page Properties dialog.

Browser Fill Improvements

• You can now set a gradient on the Browser Fill. (Note: Opacity, Focal point and Size are not available due to cross-browser compatibility and usability standards)
• In addition, you can now set your browser background image to fit or to fill.

Control Strip Improvements

• The Adobe Muse control strip now has collapsible control sets (similar to Illustrator). As you expand the width of the Adobe Muse application window more controls appear.
• Additional controls have been added to the Control strip – States, Transform, and Align. Text controls are now available when text frames are selected, not just when you're using the text tool.

Drag and drop styles/swatches/colors

• You can now drag and drop a Paragraph style or Character style onto a text frame to apply the style to the text.
• You can also drag a Graphic style into a page item, or the page to apply it.
• You can drag a Swatch onto a page item, page, or browser area of a page to apply background fill.
• You can drag a Color (via dragging the color preview area just above the RGB edit boxes) onto a page item, page, or browser area of a page to apply background fill. You can also drag a color to the Swatches palette to create a swatch of it.
  

Hyperlinks

• The Hyperlink control can now be resized so that users can see entire URL. We've changed the label of the hyperlink option “Title” to “Tooltip” to help clarify where user enters the hyperlink destination information.

New Selection Visuals

• Hint labels now show when you hover over elements on the page. There is a new preference to turn this display off.
• Groups and widgets are now indicated with dotted line containment rectangles.
• When a page item cannot be resized in a specific direction we now show an “X” instead of a missing handle.

Widget Improvements

• Slideshow and Composition widgets now include a numeric stepper for controlling the Auto Play speed in seconds rather than Off, Slow, Medium, Fast.
• We've added Shuffle as an option to the Slideshow and Composition widgets so the slideshow or composition contents play in random order.
• Changing a Menu widget from horizontal to vertical, or vice versa, now does a much better job of preserving size and spacing.
• Changing the state of one part of a widget at design time now changes appropriate sibling parts to the same state to more closely mimic browser behavior.
• Based upon customer feedback, we renamed the following:
  • "Fit Width" and "Fit Height" to "Uniform Spacing"
  • "Uniform Width" and "Uniform Height" to "Uniform Size"

Other assorted improvements

• Shift + Return/Enter will create a soft return instead of a carriage return.
• Control/Ctrl + Tab activates next tab.
• Control/Ctrl + Shift + Tab activates previous tab.
• Option/Alt + click a page tab will close all open page tabs.
• Option/Alt + click a site tab will close all open sites.
• Holding the Shift key down while resizing an image allows you to perform a non-proportional resize.
• The X, Y, W, H, and Angle edit boxes support duplicating and transforming the selection if you hold down the Option/Alt key when you hit Return/Enter or Tab.
• If you enter a value in an edit box you can do a Shift + Enter to apply the value AND keep focus in the edit box.
• Select Same feature added which selects other objects on the page that are the same type as the object currently selected and can be used through Alt Control Shift A and the Context and Edit menus.
• Added feedback to rotation tracker so you see the angle next to the cursor as you rotate.
• Changed rotation display values to be between -180 and 180 to match other Adobe apps. Previously it was 0 to 360.
• Publish dialog has a new FAQ link to help users understand the implications of publishing.
• Upload to FTP and Export to HTML workflows now have a ‘Domain Name’ input field. This is used for generation of Sitemap.xml and for enabling Typekit web fonts.
• The display of 100% width items on iOS devices is now enabled.
• Adobe Muse now produces functional submenus on iOS devices.
