Use AI Assistant (Beta) in Photoshop Elements

Find tools and get help with AI Assistant (beta).

AI Assistant helps you quickly find editing tools, complete common editing tasks, and learn how to use Photoshop Elements using natural language. Simply describe what you want to do, and AI Assistant directs you to the appropriate tool or workflow. You can also use suggested prompts to explore features and get started quickly.

Open AI Assistant (Beta)

Open Photoshop Elements.

Select the AI Assistant icon in the upper-right corner.

The AI Assistant icon is available in all workspaces except the AI Mode.

Type you query or select one of the suggested prompts.

Learn how to use Photoshop Elements using AI Assistant

AI Assistant can answer basic questions about Photoshop Elements and help you discover features within the application.

For example, you can ask:

  • How do I replace a sky?
  • How do I create a photo collage?
  • How do I add text to a photo?

Edit photos using AI Assistant

You can describe the edit you want to make using natural language. AI Assistant identifies the appropriate editing feature and guides you to the relevant tool or workflow.

For example, you can ask AI Assistant to:

  • Remove the background.
  • Remove unwanted objects.
  • Make the colors more vibrant.
  • Blur the background.
  • Convert the image to black and white.
  • Restore this old photo.
  • Auto fix the image, then sharpen it and save.
  • Insert an AI-generated moon, move it to the corner.

 

Use detailed prompts

You can also describe your desired edit in more detail. AI Assistant can understand longer, natural-language prompts and identify the appropriate editing feature or workflow.

Use Guided Edits

AI Assistant can help you complete your edits in three modes: AutoEdit, and Guide. If your request matches a Guided Edit, AI Assistant directs you to the appropriate Guided Edit and helps you complete the workflow.
