Save to Cloud

Save to Cloud is a new feature that is being previewed in Photoshop Elements 2021. This new feature allows you to save your photos to the Cloud, share them with others via a link, and view them via a web browser.

Once you install Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021 your Adobe ID entitles you to 2GB of Cloud storage. It gives you access to your saved photos across devices and all the changes are saved/synched to the cloud instantaneously.

When you save your photo in Photoshop Elements, you will get an option to Save to the Cloud which will upload your photo to the Adobe Creative Cloud and allows you to access it across devices.

Access your Cloud photos

You can access and continue editing your Cloud photos on the same or different computer using Photoshop Elements 2021.

In the Home screen of Photoshop Elements, use the Recent section for quick access to your recently saved/edited Cloud photos.

Do one of the following:
  • Choose File > Open recently edited file from the Menu bar or click the arrow next to Open to select a recently edited cloud photo.

  • Choose File Open from the Menu bar or click Open to browse cloud photos. Click Open Cloud photos to browse and open a photo. from the Cloud or Open from computer to browse and open photos from the computer.

Share a Cloud photo

You can share a cloud photo from Photoshop Elements. To share, open a cloud photo, click on the Share icon, copy the generated link, and send it in email, text, or social media to your friends & family.

The shared link will open your photo in assets.adobe.com to view and add comments.

Delete Cloud photos

During this preview timeframe, if you reach your 2GB storage, you will need to free up space by deleting photos.

Note:

Once you delete the cloud photos using Free up Space, the photos are permanently deleted. We recommend you save a copy on your computer before deleting. To save to your computer, open each cloud photo in Photoshop Elements and use File > Save As to save on your computer as a .PSD or other file format.

When your cloud storage is full and you try to save a new photo to the Cloud, you get a message to free up space by deleting some photos. You can open the Delete Photo dialog by clicking the Free up space button from this message or from the Cloud icon.

Clicking Free up space will open a dialog. Select the photos to delete and click the Delete button.

Access Cloud photos from the Web

All your cloud photos saved from Photoshop Elements 2021 can be viewed on assets.adobe.com.

  1. Go to https://assets.adobe.com and navigate to Your work > FilesCloud documents.
  2. Under the Cloud documents section,  locate the Elements Photos folder  
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Click the checkbox to select multiple photos simultaneously.
    • Sort your photos by Modified or Name in ascending or descending order.
    • Switch between the list view  and the grid view .
