Issue with Adobe Premiere Elements during launch

Problem

Adobe Premiere Elements gets stuck at loading PlayerMediaCore.prm during launch.

Solution

  1. Navigate to
    C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Elements
    or press Windows+R.

    The Run dialog box appears.

  2. In the Run dialog box, type %appdata% and click OK.

    The Roaming folder opens.

  3. Navigate to the following location:

    Adobe\Premiere Elements

  4. Open the Debug Database.txt file.

  5. Locate the following flag entry:

    DS.ForceCPUOnly false false

  6. Modify the flag entry to true as shown below:

    DS.ForceCPUOnly true false

  7. Save the changes by choosing File > Save in Notepad.

Note:

If Adobe Premiere Elements did not launch properly in the past and this is a first-time installation, you may be unable to locate the flag entry mentioned in Step 5. In that case, replace the code you have on your Debug Database.txt file by copy-pasting the code from the Debug Database.txt file. Then, continue from Step 5.
