Issue

When you try to install an Adobe product update, you receive the following error message:"Please close the following applications to continue: - LogTransport2."

Solution

To resolve this issue, try the following solutions in order:

Solution 1: Restart the computer.

Restarting closes all running processes, including LogTransport2. After restart, try to run the update installation before you launch any other programs.

Solution 2: Manually close the LogTransport2 process.

Windows:

  1. Right-click the taskbar and choose Task Manager.  
  2. Find LogTransport2 in the Processes tab and click to select it.
  3. Click the End Task button.

Note:

In Windows 8, it may be necessary to click More Details to see all running processes.

Mac OS:

  1. In the Applications/Utilities folder, launch Activity Monitor.
  2. In the Process list, click LogTransport2.
  3. Click the stop sign icon at the top.
  4. Choose Force Quit.
