This article provides an overview of how storage region is allocated for your individual, company, or school account.
For personal (individual) accounts
If you have a personal account, your storage region is allocated in accordance with the country code used while creating your account.
Country code is a mandatory field for creating a personal account.
For example, if your country code is the US, your storage region will be allocated aligned to the US region.
In case you have created a Personal account using social media apps, or email apps, and have not provided your country information, your storage region is allocated in accordance with your location found using an IP address.
For business accounts
For Enterprise ID or Adobe ID accounts
- If your organization has Adobe storage for business, your storage region will be the same as your organization's storage region irrespective of your country code.
For example, suppose your organization’s country code is Europe and your organization has Adobe storage for business for the EU. In that case, even if your country code is US, your storage region will be allocated and alligned to the EU region. - If your organization does not have Adobe storage for business, your storage region is allocated in accordance with your organization's country code; overriding your country code (if set).
For example, if your organization’s country code is the US and your country does not have Adobe storage for business, even if your country code is EU, your storage region will be allocated and alligned to the US region (organization’s country code)
For Federated ID accounts
- If your Admin sets your country code, your storage region is allocated in accordance with the country code set by your Admin.
For example, if your country code is US, your storage region will be allocated to the US region. - If your Admin has not set your country code,
- If your organization has Adobe storage for business, your storage region is allocated based on the organization's storage region.
- If your organization does not have Adobe storage for business, your storage region is allocated in accordance with your organization's country code.
Note that the change in country code may not cause new users to be provisioned in a different region.
For example, if your country code is not set, and
- Your organization has Adobe storage for business for the EU, your storage region will be allocated and aligned to the EU region.
- Your organization does not have Adobe storage for business, but the organization has a country code of US, your storage region will be allocated aligned to the US region.
