Error U44M1I216 when updating applications

When you try to update a Creative Cloud Membership (CCM) or CS6 product, you receive an error with code U44M1I216.

Solution

Delete the AAMUpdater folder. You can find the AAMUpdater folder in the following locations:

• Win XP: <user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0
• Vista/Win 7/Win 8: <%localappdata%>\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0
• Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0
