The Add-on failed to install: It requires escalated privileges. Click here for more information and try again.

Add-ons also commonly referred to as extensions are installed by a zxp file installer utility or the Creative Cloud Desktop app if acquired through Adobe Exchange. You must have administrator access to install extensions.

This happens if you do not have administrator access to install applications on your computer, or if you click No or Cancel when prompted to enter an administrator password. Enter the administrator password if it is requested during installation.

Solution: Try install again. Go to My Exchange, find the extension, and if it is installed, click Uninstall. Wait two minutes for the removal to complete, then click Install. Click the notification message when it appears. Enter your administrator password if prompted, and click Yes in the notification dialog.
Alternatively, click Install Issues link in My Exchange to install another way.
