Start with an image, type your prompts, and create a whole new world with the AI-powered Generative Fill in Photoshop.

  1. Make a selection.

    Choose the Rectangular Marquee tool and drag to draw a selection around the back wall. From the Contextual Task Bar, click Generative Fill so you can fill that space in the next step.

  2. Add AI art to the selection.

    Type a prompt that describes what you want to add to the image and click Generate. Use the arrow buttons to move through the choices and pick your favorite to fill the area.

  3. Add more to your scene.

    Choose the Lasso tool, drag to draw a loose selection around the flooring, and then try a new prompt. Click Generate again and again to see more options.

  4. Bring your vision to life.

    Repeat the process until your creation features every element you imagined. Be as specific as you want with text prompts to fine-tune your creative ideas.

  5. Extend the image.

    Choose the Crop tool, drag the corner handles to extend the canvas, and press Enter or Return to automatically apply Generative Expand and fill the new image area with AI-generated content.
