Learn how to show and hide thumbnails of the media added to the editor's timeline.

When working with one or multiple clips in the Firefly video editor, having thumbnails in the timeline provides a quick and effective visual reference. You don’t need to rely on file names or play each video as thumbnails let you instantly identify scenes at a glance, making the editing process smoother and more intuitive.

Thumbnails are especially helpful when trimming, cutting, or arranging clips, as you can visually track scene and frame details. This improves accuracy when matching clips, syncing with audio, or placing text at the right moment.

The videos added to the timeline are highlighted.
