Click Create > Video Story.
This launches getting started dialog boxes that introduce the feature to you.
You can now create a video story of the videos you have. A video story is a structured way of presenting your life events such as birthdays and anniversaries in an enticing way. The video story feature allows you to add various life events such as travel to a special place, weddings, and so on. You can add videos to the story and organize them as chapters.
Video Story: New Birthday Template
We would request you to delete the existing birthday theme from the installed folder and copy the one that is available in this path. Follow these steps:
1. Close Adobe Premiere Elements
2. Important: Delete the Birthday folder from this path
<Installed path>\Adobe Premiere Elements 13\Video Story Templates\Birthday
3. Copy the Birthday.zip available here and paste it locally on your system
(Video Story Template_Win_Birthday.zip for WIN and Video Story Template_Mac_Birthday.zip for MAC)
4. Extract the zip file and find Birthday folder
5. Copy the new Birthday folder to the above mentioned location

6. Launch Adobe Premiere Elements
Follow these steps to create a video story:
Click Create > Video Story.
This launches getting started dialog boxes that introduce the feature to you.
You can click the arrows and view the steps to follow to create a video story.
For example, you can choose birthday to start creating a video story. More themes coming up in the future builds.
Click a Media Source to import your videos for the story. Click Next once you have imported the story assets.
Prepare a story overview. Drag-and-drop story assets from the left pane to the appropriate chapter. For example, drag-and-drop the video containing the video footage of cake cutting on the Cake Cutting chapter.
You can click Add chapter to create your own chapter. You can reorder the clips within a chapter and also reorder chapters to change the flow of the story.
You can perform various operations on chapters in the Overview view, such as:
You can switch between Detail View and Overview to edit the video story further. The overview view shows you a quick glimpse of the whole structure/ flow of your video story. The detail view is where you can edit your chapters.
In the Detail View. If you hover your mouse over a story chapter, you can view two icons. Click on the play icon to preview the video clip. Click the star icon to mark the favorite moments in your video clip.
As per the Mood of the chapter, some portions of your clip is already automarked. You may tweak them if required.
Click Preview Movie to preview the video story you have created. Click Publish Movie to publish the video story. Select from the Publish+Share option.
You can add a caption or narration to the workflow. Captions and narration add more depth and context to the story. Follow these steps to add a caption or narration to the workflow:
Select chapter in the Detail View.
Click Add Caption or Add Narration from the action bar.
Move the CTI to the frame in the video clip where you want to add or edit a caption.
Click Add/Edit caption to add or edit the captions.
Alternatively, in the previous step click Add Narration to add narration.
Click Record to start recording.
As per the theme, moods/looks are applied to the chapters. By default, the chapter mood is set to Theme recommended. You can edit and change the the chapters mood by clicking on the settings icon next to the Chapter Mood dropdown. In the Detail view, select a chapter and select the Chapter mood from the drop-down list.
You can click on settings to change the music track, look, or edit speed of the video clip.
