FrameMaker 10 crashes on accessing math objects or equations

FrameMaker 10 crashes when you access math objects or equations using an ExtendScript.

Likewise, when you run the externalization utility on large books, FrameMaker hangs crashes, or uses excessive memory. 

Solution

Download the FrameMakerScriptingSupport zip file for your FrameMaker version:

Extract the FrameMakerScriptingSupport.dll file from the zip archive and overwrite the file of the same name at the following location in your system:

<InstallDir>\Program Files\Adobe\AdobeFrameMaker10\fminit

Additional information

This issue happens with scripts that use propVals. If a script has functions that use propVals (for example, GetProps() and GetOpenDefaultParams()), a memory leak can occur, leading to problems in FrameMaker.
