Working with Firefly video editor

File size and duration limitation

Each file added to the video editor must be under 20 GB in size and no longer than 4 hours in duration. The editor currently does not support files that exceed either the size or time limit.

Video and image files must not exceed a resolution of 3840 x 3840 pixels to be imported.

Thumbnails not generated for certain videos

Thumbnail generation in the timeline is unavailable for media files with dimensions exceeding 3840 pixels.

Working with GIF and WEBP files

Animated GIF and WEBP files do not retain their animation when added to the timeline. Only the first frame is displayed, even though the file appears animated in the Your media panel.

Videos generated with the Transparent background option

If you use the Generation history panel to add a video generated with the Transparent background option, it may not appear as expected. This is because generated videos with transparent backgrounds are not fully supported in the Firefly video editor at this time.

Adobe cloud storage missing from the First and Last Frames upload menus

If you generate a video using the Firefly Video model and select First or Last under the Frames menu, you may not see the Adobe cloud storage option. As a workaround, you may need to download the file to your device and then use the Your device option to upload it.

Missing cost indicator (Generative credits) next to the Generate button

In some cases, the cost indicator that displays the estimated credit usage may not appear to the left of the Generate button. This indicator is designed to be visible at all times, but due to a current limitation, it may occasionally be missing.

To restore the cost indicator, initiate the generation process by selecting Generate, then immediately cancel it to avoid any credit consumption. The cost indicator should reappear as expected.
