Problem

After installing the 2019 release of Captivate, when you launch it, Captivate crashes.

Even after you uninstall and reinstall Captivate, the problem still persists.

Solution

  1. Sign out from your Creative Cloud desktop application.

  2. Rename the SLCache folder to SLCacheOld, present at the following location:
    • Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
    • Mac: System Library/Application Support/Adobe
  3. Launch the Creative Cloud application in administrative mode and sign in again.

  4. Launch Captivate 2019 and also sign in. The application starts again without issues.
