Overview
Adobe plans to launch a feature update to Adobe Captivate on January 28 2013.
Eligibility
The update is available only to the following:
- Subscription customers. Choose Help > Updates, select Adobe Captivate 6.1 Update in the Adobe Application Manager, and then, click Update.
- Customers with Upgrade plan/Maintenance & Support/Adobe Software Assurance Program for Captivate.
Shrink/web/license without upgrade plan customers can only buy full releases. They are not eligible for this update.
AVL fulfillment
The LUE team processes LUE fulfillment for Upgrade Plan, ASA (Adobe Software Assurance) and Platinum customers once a month until Captivate 7.0 launches based on order purchase date. Customer Support can contact the LUE team with the completed LUE form to process the upgrade faster for the customers when necessary.
Serial key
It's necessary to use a Captivate 6.0 serial key with the Captivate 6.1 download to install the update. There is no separate serial number required. The license certificate provided during LUE fulfillment directs the customer to “Use Existing Serial Number."
Download/DVD
- Captivate 6.1 will be a patch and download will be available via LWS.
- DVD will be provided to customers who are not able to download the 6.1 bits from LWS only on the request basis. There will be 6.0 and 6.1 DVSETs available until Captivate 7 launches.
- DVSET will be version 6 with “LUE 6.1” in the additional text.
- Only Retail DVDs will be created and not Education DVDs for LUE.
