ColdFusion Builder (2016 release) fails to launch
Problem
When you try to launch ColdFusion Builder, there's no response from Builder. This usually occurs due to corrupted workspace files.
Solution
To fix this issue, follow the steps below:
-
Note
We recommend that you take a backup of the workspace as it contains existing settings for projects, which you may need later.
-
Launch command prompt as “Run as Administrator” and navigate to the (assuming you have installed it on C: drive) “C:\AdobeColdFusionBuilder2016” and type the command:
CFBuilder.exe -clean
-
Relaunch ColdFusion Builder (2016 release).
ColdFusion Builder launches successfully with a fresh workspace.
In case your ColdFusion Builder takes a long time to load, install Update 4 and relaunch ColdFusion Builder.
