In the recent drops, we have focussed on accuracy and performance improvements, in addition to workflow improvements.

Accuracy & Performance Improvements

• More accurate auto-clustering of similar faces.
• Better Application responsiveness and faster analysis of photographs for facial recognition.

Important: If you note errors, performance lag, or freezes with Elements Organizer while facial recognition is underway, please do log a bug.

Workflow Improvements

Your feedback and a continued focus on usability have have resulted in a couple of workflow enhancements:

• Stacks can be easily dragged and dropped into Groups ^[New].
• Click a stack to see the faces present, and hover your mouse on a face to see the pictures containing them. ^[New]
• Status of Facial Recognition task: You can now view how many images are remaining for analysis through information displayed in the Task Bar.
• Stacks are merged in both views - Named and Unnamed.
• Choose to show or hide smaller stacks (for example, stacks with only one face in an Unnamed view).
• Sort stacks based on Media Count in Unnamed view
• Priority 3 Names suggestion while naming a stack

Enhanced Face Recognition

In this new version of Elements Organizer, we are planning to give users a completely different experience while naming people in their catalog. Enhancements also include accuracy and performance improvements, image handling in converted catalogs, and the aesthetics of the face-recognition interface.

Important considerations while reworking face recognition:

1. During Face Recognition checks, if multiple pictures are found for the same person, the best quality picture is used. ^[New]
2. Auto-stacking of faces soon after media is imported in the catalog.
3. Increased ease while naming people. In other words, lesser number of clicks and lesser number of dialogs while naming unnamed persons in your catalog.
