Education Roster Sync Migration Steps

The current roster sync solution for Clever and Classlink will be migrating over to our new setup. This setup requires users to be synced to the Adobe Admin Console with Azure or Google sync.

The legacy roster sync will no longer sync after December 31st 2025.

Roster Sync Migration Steps

  1. Remove the roster sync from your Adobe Federated Directory

    Admin Console > Settings > Directory > Sync 

    Select your roster provider and select Remove Sync

    This will not delete any of the users from your admin console.

  2. Configure a sync provider Google or Microsoft (for other options see details)

    If you need to sync from another user directory, you would need to use the User Sync Tool.

  3. Add your roster to your Admin Console Organization

    The Roster sync option has moved to the Admin Console. Navigate to Settings > Identity Settings > Roster Sync

    1. Select Set up roster to begin the configuration process.
    2. Select Clever or ClassLink
    3. Authenticate the roster provider
    4. Select your sync frequency or manual sync
    5. Select how users are grouped in the Adobe Admin Console:
      1. All in one group
      2. Grouped by role (Student, Teacher, Other)
    6. Select your Apps, Adobe Express or Creative Cloud 
    7. Assign a product profile to the created groups
    8. Select Queue Now - to schedule a sync
