Frequently asked questions
I’ve previously updated my payment information for the e-mandate. Why am I being asked to update it again?
In March and April 2023, we experienced issues with pre-existing e-mandates on selected Adobe accounts in India. If you need to update your e-mandate, we'll notify you directly via email or messages on your Adobe account. You must re-enter payment information in your Adobe Account by the next billing date to avoid losing access to subscribed apps or services. If you have any questions about this or other concerns about your account, contact us.
How does RBI’s e-mandate directive affect me?
If you’re using an Indian-issued debit or credit card to pay Adobe, your recurring payments may be affected by this directive.
The e-mandate requires:
- Cardholders to authenticate themselves via another factor authentication (AFA) by the issuing bank to complete a registration process to establish a recurring payment.
- Banks to notify cardholders at least 24 hours prior to each recurring payment and give them the ability to opt out of the recurring payment.
- Recurring transactions over INR 15,000 to go through AFA every time.
What will happen if I don’t update my payment details?
If you don't update your payment details, your payment method will fail, your subscription will be canceled, and you won't have access to your products and services.
Do I need to update my payment with each monthly renewal?
No, in most circumstances, you'll only need to update your payment once. If your e-mandate needs updating at any time, we will notify you via email on how to update your e-mandate. Once your e-mandate is updated, you can continue to use your subscription without interruption.
How can I stay informed?
We will update this page when more details are available.
