Issue
When you launch Photoshop Elements Editor 2024, you see the following error:
- Error at loading of MSVCR120 library.
Reason
Microsoft has ended support for Visual Studio 2013 (MS VC++ 12 ) on April 9, 2024. For more information, visit here.
As a security measure, the Elements installer will stop installing the MS VC ++ 12 run-time installer.
VC ++ 12(MS VS 2013) is used by Photoshop Elements editor. The absence of VC ++ 12(MS VS 2013) on your machine will have an impact on the following features:
- Smooth Skin
- Adjust Facial features
- Moving Photos
- Export on Moving elements
- Export on Moving Overlays
- Export in Photoreel
Solution
Please update your Photoshop Elements 2024 app to version 2024.3, which includes a fix for this issue. For more details, refer to the release notes for Photoshop Elements.
