Free glitch effects for Photoshop.

Download this set of custom effects from Supply Family to give your photos a throwback vintage look.

  1. Get started.

Let’s get started with the first mockup. Open the file “SupplyFamily_Glitch-Effect-01.psd” in Photoshop. This will be the main workspace for your design.

  2. Open the Smart Object layer.

Head over to the Layers panel, and double-click on the thumbnail for the Smart Object layer labeled “Your Design Here.” That opens a new file called “Your Design Here.psb.”

In “Your Design Here.psb,” import an image of your choosing into the artboard. Then go to File > Save.

  4. Complete the effect.

Go back to the first file you opened, “SupplyFamily_ID-tag-mockup.psd,” to see the mockup with your artwork now in place.

  5. Bonus: Customize your colors.

Play around with additional color settings to further personalize your creation. In the Layers panel, open the folder labeled “Choose Gradient Map” to access six gradient map settings. Click on the View icon to try out a gradient map, or combination of gradient maps.
