Lightroom Map module is offline | Windows 7

When working on a Windows 7 machine connected to a proxy network, Lightroom CC 2015.8/Lightroom 6.8 shows 'Map is offline'. The Map module does not connect and it stays offline.

Solution

To ensure that the Map module works correctly on a proxy network, it is highly recommended that you update Windows 7 to reflect the latest Service Pack 1 provided by Microsoft.
