Download agreement link lets administrators control whether recipients can download an agreement from the post-signing confirmation page.
Download agreement link is an account and group-level setting that controls whether recipients can download an agreement from the post-signing confirmation page. When disabled, recipients won’t see a download option until the agreement is fully completed.
This setting helps organizations meet strict legal and compliance requirements by preventing access to partially signed agreements and ensuring recipients receive only the final, executed document.
Configuration
The Download agreement link setting applies to agreements sent through Acrobat Sign and affects both modern and classic recipient experiences.
Availability:
- Acrobat Standard and Acrobat Pro: Not Supported
- Acrobat Sign Solutions: Supported
- Acrobat Sign for Government: Supported

Access this feature by navigating the administrator's configuration menu to Send Settings > Download agreement link
How the setting works
When the Download agreement link is disabled:
- Recipients can’t download an agreement from the post-signing confirmation page.
- The setting is enforced consistently across recipient experiences.
- Recipients receive the agreement only after all participants complete their actions, through the standard Signed and Filed email delivery.
This ensures recipients don’t receive partially signed agreements during in-progress workflows.

The setting is respected by agreements created using:
- Request Signature
- Custom workflows
- Send in Bulk
- Web forms
The setting applies to recipient confirmation pages across all supported sending methods.
Administrative considerations
- The setting affects only the recipient confirmation experience and doesn’t restrict administrator or sender access in Manage.
- Disabling the Download agreement link doesn’t change audit behavior or agreement completion logic.
- This setting is recommended for regulated workflows, such as clinical trials or informed consent processes, where distributing partially signed agreements isn’t acceptable.
