Learn how simple it is to get signatures in person using the Adobe Acrobat Sign mobile app on a tablet or mobile phone.

Log in and tap Get Signature in Person

Log in to the Acrobat Sign app for iOS or Android on your tablet or phone. Then tap Get Signature in Person to enable in-person signing.

Choose a document for signing

Tap Documents and select the document you need to get signed. You can open files from your Acrobat Sign document library, documents on your device, Document Cloud, or other online storage accounts.

Add the document signer

Tap the Recipients tab and add the email address for verification purposes of the signer you want to sign in person. Please note that if your document needs to be signed by multiple people, in-person signing can only be used for the first signer.

Add a message

Tap Message and review the default message. Leave it as is or revise it if desired.

Set options

If desired, additional customization can be done by tapping Options:

  • Require a password to view the document

  • Change the language the document will be viewed in

  • Preview the document before it’s sent for signing

Start the in-person signing process

Follow these steps to collect the signature of your recipient:

  1. Tap Sign in the upper right corner.
  2. The app presents a message telling you to hand your device to the signer. Tap OK and do so.
  3. The signer sees a new message and taps the email address to verify they are the intended signer and start signing.
  4. The signer then taps the Signature field, draws their signature with a finger, and taps Done when finished.
  5. The signer submits the document by tapping Finish Signing

The document is now signed, filed, and tracked in the Acrobat Sign application.
